Looking at at the figures that players are being sold for 50 /60 /70 million pounds
Does anyone else feel like we are the skintest football club in modern football today
We are so far behind its scaring the shit out of me this season coming.
i understand what we are trying to do but fuck me it's going to be a real struggle.
We must have some money ffs.
Are we ever going to be able to sign a 2-3-4 million pound player again ?
or is this it for ever more

Better off out of it in my opinion. Our Directors can't be trusted in a world where people genuinely expect to sell a player like Wilfred Zaha for 75m quid!

Our Directors can't be trusted in a world where people genuinely expect to sell a player like Wilfred Zaha for 75m quid! this. spending money will catch up with clubs in the end but we're trying to become a financially stable club. i'd rather we be where we are now than being a bolton or a portsmouth etc, plus tbh i like us having to develop players! its incredibly satisfying seeing a bargain like luke freeman get better and better and then move on knowing that we made him better. or players from our academy like lumley, furlong and eze who are 1st teamers etc. its more rewarding than spunking 10m up the wall |

I see West Ham trying to shift that Jordan Hugill this week. Apparently we are 1 of the sides looking at him. 10m quid and 40 grand a week that guys costing them. Barely kicked a ball in the Prem, ain't good enough. Absolute punt from there perspective towards the end of the transfer window.
This is exactly the sort of shit we'd be signing if we were promoted under the current regime.

Our problems were the contracts given out in the first 2.5 years of Fernandes time here. Our record fee was Remy at around 10 million. Fees are way out now and of those sold so far Trippier at 20 is about the best value for money of the summer

Spending is not a problem. You can still make good buys and sell them with a higher fee. Our problem was that we didn't spend wisely. I would want us to buy better players and play better football than we do at the moment.

Main worry for me is how poor we are in negotiating wedge for players.
Other clubs seem to fleece PL clubs for their players with no problems at all.
