So we won't be getting a 10 goals a season man then. Wells was excellent for the first half of last season mate. Unfortunately, like the rest of the squad, he lost form from xmas onwards. I'd have no issues seeing him back here, as long as we didn't break the bank to get him. Good player at Championship level. Agree. He’s a grafter, not what you’d call a clinical finisher. By the law of averages though, create enough chances for him and he’ll score into double figures. The days of us buying a proven 20 goal a season man are gone. All we can do is take a punt on a youngster or someone like Wells.

as we stand now we'll struggle, but let's see what Warbs brings in before we write our team off

Like Hogan and knows how to finish, Wages may be an issue with him though. I think he'll come with quite a significant loan fee attached to him. Might be possible though. Probably depends who else we are shifting on, whether we get a decent fee for Luongo etc.

Surely the time to judge the squad is 5:00pm on Thursday 8th August, when the window shuts? That's over two weeks away. Until that point everything is just premature and speculative, no? Less anxiety and more perspective is needed here IMO. Guess so. Think 5.05 on the 3rd August will be a tad more significant.

Why not just turn up at games, support the team and see where we are in May 2020? Knee jerks after every result aren't the answer.

73, Warbs prefers to play with just one striker, so bringing in three might be pushing it. Two is a must though.

Oteh with game time will be adequate back up. Liked what I’ve seen from him when he’s played

Oteh with game time will be adequate back up. Liked what I’ve seen from him when he’s played I'd send him out on loan again if we can bring 3 strikers in. Aside from his first couple of games I don't think he's looked up to the job in a QPR shirt!

Hardly had opportunity in shirt in fairness. He’s no worse then manning who makes squad over and over again but is mediocre
Needs game time. Agree loan would be good for his progression but equally I could cope with him as third striker if it came to it

A loan striker who never scores = little chance of winning football matches. He'll also get pelters from the fans if we play him and he doesn't score for weeks on end!

How many games did he play 90 minutes in last season ? One. Only featured for more than an hour in 6 games, in which he scored 2 goals. Bit harsh to write him off without being given a proper chance isn't it ?

Saw Oteh at Pompey in the cup and he looked out of his depth. I remember going into a season with Dichio and Gallen after selling Les and too much pressure was put on them and we went down and never recovered. For me Oteh away on loan and then see how it does rather than him being one of the main strikers with pressure to get the goals.

His stats are as follows mate: Championship (for QPR) - 1 goal in 243 minutes. FA Cup (for QPR) - 1 goal in 148 minutes. League 1 (for Walsall) - 1 goal in 355 minutes. Ain't writing him off, the guy looks immense for the U23's. But for whatever reason he doesn't seem to be able to translate that to first team football. I stand by my comment that he would be better served on a loan (maybe Wycombe) than being hung out to dry in front of our impatient fans. But in order to do that we need 3 strikers to come in!

Saw Oteh at Pompey in the cup and he looked out of his depth. To be fair, everyone looked out of their depth that day bar Chair. Vaguely remember Oteh getting clumped and not being able to run it off....could be wrong though.
