Honestly feel that this season is a total make or break season for us
We will either excel with a complete new team playing attractive football and build to move on
Or
Be a bottom five team all season and in a possible relegation scrap no stop
i just cannot call this one its just such an unusual situation the owners are playing
I also did not see this coming with so many new players in the team
Knew there would be a few changes but this is a whole scale team rebuild.
Its going to be another roller coaster of a season as always is being a Rangers supporter.
We will get an idea after the first 3 or 4 games on where we are as a team.

I'm useless with names. Got to try and remember loads of new ones now. Bugger!
I think we could be a surprise package this season. Fresh team, fresh manager, fresh ideas. Who knows!?

My money is on mid-table obscurity.......and I'd be reasonably happy with that too!

Hope your both right
I'm also going to be open minded at the moment and hopeful
Could be the start of something we all crave for
Proper rangers die hard young team playing fast attacking football
This was Norwich not that long ago

a squad turnover of over 20 players,
new squad being filled up with loans and scottish league 1 standard players,
Heavely unbalanced.
personally think this is the straw that broke the camels back.
certain relegation for me.
finishing 20th would be an exellent season.

3-4 games with this big an overhaul? Got to be 10 games minimum hasn't it? After 4 games last season we were nailed on for relegation for sure.

I think you are being a bit dramatic mate. Let's see how the rest of the transfer window plays out, and how the first few games go before we hit the panic button!

Think we're going to struggle this season, no doubt about it.

It doesn't look good but maybe we will spend some cash before the window closes. 500k or on Judge then cash for prem loans. Wouldn't be surprised if we did spend 2/3 mil or so on a striker.

Get two decentish strikers in and I’m optimistic
Chatting my Brentford mate he said Warburton was brilliant in loan market but less good when picking up free transfers

I think we will be fine in terms of staying up.
Hall and Barbet are decent enough at CB, the loan signings of Smith and Amos were class additions and I think with the likes of Cameron and the young lad sterling being added to the squad then we will have a decent enough side to compete in this league as long as we bring in some strikers who can knock the ball in the back of the net.
I think we will be stronger than wigan, charloton, luton, Birmingham, reading, milwall and Barnsley. Plus will compete with the likes of Hull, Sheff Wed, Preston ect….Can see us finishing somewhere between 12th - 18th and maybe even slightly higher.

I don't get the whole 'unbalanced squad' comments a few have made.
We are slightly overstocked for keepers and if we land this lad from Forest, overstocked in central defence too. This suggests to me there may yet be further departures in those positions. Aside from that we have basically 2 players for every position aside from strikers, we are perhaps also a little light on creativity. It's no coincidence that the areas we still have gaps in the squad are in the positions that are hardest/most expensive to fill. Work is still going on to plug those gaps, and I'm sure it'll happen. We are clearly still wheeling and dealing to free up funds to land our targets.
Anyone who says we are in worse shape now than we were at the same stage last year has a very short memory. At this point last year we hadn't yet landed the likes of Cameron, Wells or Hemed and we were in all out panic. This window has been way more organised and sensibly managed.
Of course we have had a complete overhaul of the squad, and they will need some time to gel, but I really don't get all the doom and gloom. This transfer window was always going to be a complete clear out. Last seasons squad was full of gaps, we had a load of players out of contract and there was always going to be lots of new faces coming in!

Surely the time to judge the squad is 5:00pm on Thursday 8th August, when the window shuts? That's over two weeks away.
Until that point everything is just premature and speculative, no?
Less anxiety and more perspective is needed here IMO.

Personally think we've got the makings of a decent season on the way. Get a couple of strikers in and we'll be fine.

As it stands this is a relegation squad for sure as the strikers or lack of them will hurt us over a 46 game season. We need 3 strikers in as we cannot expect to go a season with just 2 and one needs to be a 20 goals a season man.

Pretty big shout to say that's a 'must', particularly given the financial constraints we are operating under!

We haven't had a 20 goals a season man since Austin in 2013/14 and not been relegated to League 1.

I know Tarbie but we have lost a fair few goals from last year and from what we have right now at the club will be nowhere near good enough. Charlie was the last 20 goal man but that was 6 years ago.

"What we have now" being the most pertinent part of your post there mate. Of course we won't compete without 3 or 4 more attacking players coming in. It was the same deal this time last year though wasn't it? We'd have gone down without Wells and Hemed's goals.
I don't think it's inconceivable for Nakhi Wells to come back by the way. Nobody seems to be in for him, and Burnley will take a small loan fee over letting him warm the bench for the year. It's last minute signings like this that I think we'll be looking out for!

Unfortunately, like the rest of the squad, he lost form from xmas onwards. I'd have no issues seeing him back here, as long as we didn't break the bank to get him. Good player at Championship level.

I think we will land up about the same as last season. It's just a shame Samuel and Shopido have no end product and Eze doesn't know how to 'wellie' a ball.

Would take Wells back in a heartbeat right now. Sort of signing we should be looking to achieve.
I'd actually quite like to see judge and Hogan at QPR as well. If he Warbs could get them to recapture some of the form shown under him at Brentford then those two players could make a massive difference.

Like Hogan and knows how to finish, Wages may be an issue with him though.
