How he built and runs a world class airline is beyond me, it really is. He has to be smart, he's certainly nice, but he really can't run a football club. He built a low budget airline, and not from scratch it was a semi-gov entity that was failing and TF purchased for a penny (assuming $11m debt). AirAsia's business is all about providing air travel to people that previously couldn't afford it. There is little emphasis on quality, it's all about providing a low-cost service. With Tony's financial background, I'm sure he had the right skills for this venture. I think he was Richard Branson's CFO at one point. Clearly a totally different kettle of fish from running a football team!

Airline maybe but he should be banned from any sporting venture in the future.
