very good signings imo. pugh's signing came out of no where but we needed some depth and experience in the final third so i think he'll turn out to be a shrewd signing. pulling off the signing of kane is a masterstroke too, very good player at this level who's an upgrade on furlong, surprised that he chose to come to us over the other clubs chasing him! hugill is a solid signing up front if he can rediscover his form. i think he was hard done by at middlesbrough as last season they played stupidly defensive football. good options up top!

We do look stronger in almost every position and the few left seem to have upped their game. Worrying because it has raised my expectations.

Crikey that's a good interview. Like Davie says, my expectations are now raised! I think those of us who were starting to panic have to hand it to Warbs and the board, because these are quality signings, especially given the budget limitations. Have to say I am impressed.

I've been saying exactly this all window mate.........as much as a few have tried to argue with me about it! A very well organised window. I think Warburton has had it all in hand from day one. I think 1 or 2 more additions this week, as well as 3 or 4 outgoings and we'll be left with a squad which has 2 players at least for every position, and all of them motivated to be here!

You certainly have mate, you called it right. Probably the best pre-season transfer activity in recent memory. That's got to be down to Warbs, first and foremost.

Just watched those 3 interviews. Fills you with confidence. Every one of them mentioned how impressed they were by our play v. Watford.
(Even a couple of WBA mates who went on Saturday were impressed and thought we'd surprise a few this season.)
