brought some very good signings in this window imo. we arguebly have a better squad than last seasons and with all the deadwood gone too it feels very refreshing and promising.
my lineup now would be lumley manning barbet hall kane ball bos amos eze pugh mlakar
ball was a surprising signing but he's done the shaun derry role in midfield very well. he's always avaliable for a pass from defence and does well to link the ball to our more attacking players.
its still gunna take the team to gel but they look comfortable and confident playing under warburton. very pleasing on the eye!

Lumley
Kane Hall Barbet Manning
Cameron Amos
Pugh Eze BOS
Hugill
Cameron and Pugh haven’t had many minutes in pre season so wouldn’t expect them to start next week. Reckon Ball and Shohido might get the nod against Stoke!

Surely the lad from City will be near the starting 11?

Surely the lad from City will be near the starting 11? Doubt it right now, he hasn't featured at all bar Watford through injury.

Smith has every chance of getting into the first 11 as a very tidy player but he’s probably a week or two behind everyone in terms of fitness right now!

Why are you guys playing with two RB's?

Why are you guys playing with two RB's? Wallace is out inured and Kane is comfortable on either side. Seems the obvious choice for me until Wallace returns to fitness. He's most likely a better bet there than Hamalainen or playing one of Barbet or Manning out of position there!

It was interesting seeing Hall play RB in the 2nd half yesterday. Thought he did ok there.

I thought Kane could play on the left or right? I didn't know that. RB is his main position and he's right-footed. Brought in as a Furlong replacement I assumed.

We have players who cannot play every game. There will be a bit more squad rotation. Starting line up based on Warburtons preferred 4-2-3-1 formation could be: Lumley Rangel Hall Barbet Kane Ball Amos Bos Eze Pugh Hugill
Might change a bit for a home game.

One thing I will say that bodes well is, apart from strikers, we seem to have a little bit more strength in depth than we did last season.

Yeah, his preferred position is definitely right back. Can also play left back and right midfield comfortably. He's something of a utility player as I understand it.

Lumley Kane Hall Barbet Wallace Cameron Eze Smith Amos Pugh Mlakar Hope to see BOS feature more this season. Could be a beast. He needs to work on his end product - with his pace he will always get into scoring positions but he seems to panic at that point -been unlucky not to score pre season - he has hit the woodwork a couple of times
