I honestly didn't realise it was just for one season. In which case it makes sense. To be honest that’s just what I’ve read on here and I thought was mentioned on podcast?

This shows up part of problem. People made up minds and were against name change based on misunderstanding
The club were very clear in build up and vote that it was one season naming rights
When you see the impact it has how can anyone be against this

Would I make same decision and the right one, I doubt it.

Well done QPR for supporting awareness to tackle such a depressing social ill.

With the problems in London it would have been sensible if the Mayor had done something to dovetail this event or our efforts or simply promote it too. I had tried defending him in past but think he’s clueless

Have to admit I wasnt the biggest fan of the name change, but after yesterday my mind has well and truly been changed. Wonderful day, wonderful gesture by the club. I hope the extra awareness and exposure this brings the Kiyan Prince Foundation leads to more young people being saved from knife and gun crime.

A number of people after the game all saying how much they welled up. I am so proud of QPR getting this stuff right as well as the football side.

I honestly didn't realise it was just for one season. In which case it makes sense. Me neither mate. I thought we'd permanently renamed the stadium......and I have to admit I was very much on the fence about it. But if it's for 1 season and it helps raise some awareness and make some money for a good cause, I'm right behind it!

I am not sure it is for one season. In fact I have seen the word indefinite somewhere. That makes sense as we don't know where we will be in the future so we can either leave it or change it. I am sure it will at least be for the season though. I think the club are being deliberately vague to leave some flexibility. A wise idea.

If the shit hits the fan, the ability to bring in a few million quid for naming rights of the stadium would be a useful thing to have up our sleeve!

Yes and I believe the latter is purposely so.

Aha, thanks DK. So some of us were in fact correct that it hasn't been made clear. Thought so. No issue at all with a season long change of name, especially for such a worthy cause. However the prospect of it becoming permanent is another matter entirely, and should at the minimum involve fan consultation if it's the club's intention to make it happen.
