I understand all that and I am certainly not trying to stifle comment or anything. I'm sure that if we meet before a game we'll both get on well, the same with everyone on here. I just hate to see kids and young men getting slaughtered because they don't meet someone's unrealistic expectations, or they have having a rough trot. As for screaming abuse during games at players and managers; if you've got £30 odd to spend on something, spend it on something that gives you some measure of happiness and joy, not on something that has you railing abuse at people you don't know. For example; a few seasons ago up at Burton I was sat with with a guy I used to go to a lot of away games with and two men sat just behind us and as soon as the teams were read out they both loudly started moaning about various players that were in the squad like Polter, Onuoha, Chery, Caulker & Washington. The game kicked off and anytime a QPR player made the slightest error they were both up on their feet effing and blinding at the top of their voices this continued all through the half and as son as the second half kicked off they were right back into it. When Burton scored I turned to them and said "I bet you're happy now aren't you?" and was told "Fuck off mate, I paid for my ticket, I fucking do what I please" I told him I would refund him the cost of his ticket if he would fuck off home and leave the rest of us to support the team and got told to fuck off again. I then asked him why he thought a good use of his time and money was to travel to the Midlands just to abuse the team he claimed he supported. All I got was "fuck off mate". I called them both disgraces to the club and left it at that. The abuse did cease, especially when Polter scored the equaliser and they left the ground almost immediately after. PLewase explain that mentality to me, if you can. All I took from this is, you went to Burton and went in the seated bit?! One of the last terrace stadiums left and you chose to sit. That's like having a cup of tea and choosing to drink it stone cold rather than hot. And those other people are clearly twats, fair play to you for calling them out on it.

Scowen ain't half as bad as people on here make out and let's be clear he is not an attacking midfielder like Chair he is in an advanced role to win the ball high up the pitch.

I was having treatment for displaced patella at the time and the knee also has arthritis in now due to playing competitive sport from my youth until I was 50. I could probably have managed a half but it would have hurt like fuck the next day so I chose the option to sit. It's not so bad walking on it but just standing in the same spot plays havoc with it.
