I am trying to persuade my brother to come to the Luton game and bring his 2 kids. Is the fan zoe worthwhile? Sounds like it should be ideal. What is there to do and how much are the drinks there?

Get there for when it opens and I would almost guarantee that they will love it, they put on lots of different activities for the kids (and adults if they want to) as well as meeting some of the first team players that aren't involved in the game that day. Friendly support staff but not sure how much drinks are as I have never partaken. I first went down last season when Geoff Cameron was chatting to me by the wall outside SAR and he said he needed to get down there and invited me to walk down with him while we carried on chatting. There was a penalty shoot out goal set up with different sized holes to aim at with scores depending on the size of the hole. There was also a speed gun which measure the speed as it crossed the line. Whilst he was having his picture taken and signing a few autographs the QPR guy managing the area asked me if I wanted to have a go. Bear in mind that I am/ was at the time 64 years old the thought that it definitely could go one of two ways and be very embarrassing for me. The guy encouraged me so I thought why not? I used to play for around 12 years after I gave up competitive squash and ended up in the middle reaches of the Isthmian League plus, I used to take the penalties. It turned out to be a massive ego boost for me as all 8 shots (2 x 4) were goals, albeit with no keeper but 5 of them were high scoring shots in the upper right x 2, lower right x 2 and lower left once the speed also was a constant 45-47 mph. Geoff came over and told me that it had been some very impressive shooting and there were a few at the club that he didn't think could match it (he was laughing too). He didn't have to say anything but it properly made my day. I also ended up coaching archery down there one day for some kids whilst the guy managing it went to grab some lunch and have a piss. As I am usually on my own or with Dave Thomas I would never have considered going in there as I always thought it was just for families but I have been there a number of times now and the players and staff are more than happy to have pictures taken, sign autographs, chat and at the end of last season five of the U23's were having a kickabout game with some of the older kids and you could see that both sides were enjoying it. Go! and have fun.
