I really really like this guy.
You can see why our players are responding. Seems a great man manager and even if not playing he'd instill some fire in your belly and make you feel like you're valuable to the squad.
COYRS!!!

Very level headed and focused. No nonsense manager who communicates really well.

Anyone else a bit worried about Matt Smith? Been a long time since we had a side who not only looked like they could defend but enjoyed it. You probably have to go all the way back to Wembley to watch an R's back line boss a game against a useful attack. Big lad depends on his supply line, if they can hit the danger areas he'll always be a problem. Because we're so frail behind we've kind of developed a 'one more than you' appraoch which is great to watch, I'd be even happier if we kept the door shut occasionally.

You just know he's gonna get that penalty... pulled down a thousand times playing for us, and gets nothing. Small contact in the box tomorrow and boom

Almost 100% guaranteed that Smith will get a penalty out of Barbet tomorrow.

He's played around half their total minutes this term (2 goals, 1 assist) so he may not be a guaranteed starter.
If he gets service, he causes problems. Pretty simple.

To be honest, I'd quite like to see the BFG up against Smith....proper old school battle at the back.

I too am worried about Smith playing against us and our track record. The only thing in our favour is that, with a new team, we will know all about him and he will have very little inside information to pass on to Neil Harris.

If we play anywhere near the level of the first half against Luton, shelf wed, stoke, Wigan second half etc wtc we will tear this lot apart. Smith will give us a hard time and will be a proper handful but we’re better than them and we should be looking to put them away. Be wary but ffs don’t treat them like they are Man City and Smith is Sergio augero because they aren’t and he’s not. Coyrs

Anyone else a bit worried about Matt Smith? We're actually probably better equipped to deal with a big lump like Smith than smaller, pacey, skillful attackers. I think our main weaknesses at the back are a lack of pace and over-confidence on the ball. Physicality and intelligence aren't attributes any of our centre halves lack. That being said, we ain't kept a clean sheet all season, Smith is bang in form and as such, you'd be daft to bet against him scoring a goal. I'm hopeful we have enough in our locker to win the game either way though!

Not sure smith is bang in form Tarbs. Two goals all season and not scored in last six or something like that, kind of what he produced and or we expected at ours
Will be handful as he always is and he has right attitude, but if we defend properly, for a change, and cut the crosses out before they come in we have nullified them. If Smith does score from a cross I bet it comes down our left hand side
Looking forward to today

I'm guessing Cameron will just slot into the back 3 in place of Hall.
Alfa on the bench is out of the blue. Anyone on here seen him play?

Important match for Lumley. No it's not. He makes less mistakes than any other player in the side. That IS a fact. It appears that Millwall are lining up 4-4-1-1 to try and stifle our midfield.

Dominic Ball is a hell of a player. Probably one of the least inspiring signings of the summer on paper, but so far he's barely put a foot wrong!
