your not a fan either then. I really dislike him which is odd given how well he done for two seasons. Blokes obviously a grade A bellend My impression is he turned into one and never used to be. The way he came across in an interview I'll never forget is when he was still at WBA. Looked and sounded coked up and a bellend then, and never how he used to be whilst in his prime. Seemed like a classic example of a player not being able to come to terms with their body and performance level not being what it once was.

You may or may not like agree with what he says, but at least he say’s it. So many players managers are robots in interviews. I like a bit of spice otherwise it a dull life

Don’t think that helped. He also had meltdown Southampton when interviewed.

Met him once at a fans forum during his first spell for us and came across totally different (when in his prime). He was humble, soft spoken and actually quite shy.

Remember us playing Spuds in 2015 and him and Kane were then viaing for a spot in the England setup....
Q block started singing to Kane "Your just a sh1t Charlie Austin"....
He promptly scored from a free kick and if memory serves me right got a second....
Eight years later....
50+ goals for England and still worth over €100M and where's Charlie?

doesn't really bother me what austin says tbh. he obviously cares about the club and lets be honest, he doesn't actually say anything different to what we say lol

Charles scored two of Swindon’s four goals today.
But non-league Aldershot tonked in SEVEN!
Bloody hell, that’s the kind of things we’d do - mind you, we could potentially draw Aldershot in January….

They may have appeared to be embracing the club, fanbase and being seen to support some very vulnerable fans but it was all part of 'brand management' and part of an agenda. I can see why some fans fell for it at first but find it odd that so many people still have blinkers on when it comes to them....

He got off with it very easy for that second season after he returned because of how well the fan base were on side.

It always has been...
Him and his thick wife only do anything to boost their egos.
You can dress a pig in Saville Row suit but it's still a pig and all that...

Yea it's crazy how far down the pyramid he has gone. He will bang about 60 goals there this season surely.

Blimey Sam Magri. Didn't he come from Pompey with a bit of hype about him?

Good luck to him. Short career and you are a long time retired. A man that loves our football club and someone who was outstanding for us.

Very short career given he was a late starter and a bit injury prone and a rapid downhill slide.
I believe he was a genuine QPR man during his first spell with us and for a while after and was well respected by the majority of fans. Having said that he (and his wife) need to remember where he came from and who gave him the chance for the best times of his career. We also gave him a second chance when many others had written him off.
I believe the falling out with the club and some fans came with the comments he and his wife made when it was clear that his second contract was not going to be extended and the Twitter jibes about our attack the next season in his absence. Pity it ended that way but as long as he keeps negative comments about us to himself now I'm willing to forgive and forget and just remember his good times of hitting the back of the net.
Hope he is playing for fun now and not for money - horse racing as a hobby can be very expensive.
