Just watched a very good you tube video of Clint being interviewed by Si Ferry. Some great stories about his time with us and what went on during his time at the club.

Really great interview with a top bloke. I guess you've gotta he a Clint fanboy like me to devote two hours of your time to it, but do. Even the non QPR stuff. Really good insight to professional football. And the QPR stuff is brilliant. Laugh out loud. Interviewer is really good too.
When at Rangers Warbs didn't, Clint says, do any defensive training. And never ever practiced defending corners. Gulp. That's shows at us, doesn't it....

Loved the bit about staying up under Hughes as they hated him more than they did each other. Clear insight to how badly owned and managed for 18 months after winning promotion under Warnock.

I can feel my blood pressure rising. I fucking knew it. And said it. Over and over again.
What a prize cunt.
Let's hope he's learned his lesson/

Great interview. Every QPR fan would enjoy it. First time I’ve heard Hughes be so publicly lambasted by one of his ex-players, but it was good to see and fully deserved.
Such an inspiring and honest character. Hope he does well at Fleetwood

Amazing to think the pkayers felt that they were getting nothing off the manager. Took TF how long to sack him the following season after not winning a singke league game until December v Fulham. What did you make of Boswinga sitaution Stan and 77?

What did you make of Boswinga sitaution Stan and 77? They pretty much tore Boswanka a new one 😂. Others too. Caulker. Mbia. And funny about the weirdo that was Monsieur Lenoir. Parking his seven high end cars at Harlington. Love Clint bring appalled at the loon widely celebrating his goal getting one back when Chelsea had already scored six. I thought he was an utter wanker when I saw that and love the fact that Clint, on the pitch, thought that too. The dressing room is a workplace like anywhere else. And more so. I'd have been a happy member of Team Clint. All stand out guys. What a shit storm it was in 2011-15, but what a brilliant ride it was at the sane time, despite the Boswankas, the Mbias, the Remys and the Hughes. The story that the likes of Man City Galacticos wouldn't speak to players like Clint, because they looked down on them as non Premiership players, tells you all you need to know about those types of scumbags and the total vileness that is the PL.

Said you'd be lucky to ever get two words out of Bosingwa. Extremely aloof, the same word he used to describe Hughes. Said Mike Rigg was utterly clueless. Lots of funny stories. Fascinating insight into the dressing room and training ground dynamics. It really is a must watch.

It also highlighted how good of a manager Warnock was especially on the recruitment side by bringing in the blokes he did for the 10/11 season as they were the one's who showed care and respect for the club and its fans. Real shame we ended up with Fernandes and those prats Hughes and Rigg as with the right recruitment and plan we could have been an established PL club full of players in the Clint, Derry, Paddy Mould instead we ended up with the SWP's,Cisse's, and Bosingwa's of this world.

Watched all 2 hours of that last night, one of the most interesting insights I've heard from an ex-QPR player. Made more interesting by his observations working under our current boss at Glasgow Rangers a few years back. The takeaways for me are as follows:
1.) Hearing Clint talk about the transfer dealings around 2012 made my blood boil. The signing of Julio Cesar, the attitudes of the likes of Boswinga, Mbia, Cisse etc. We were just sold every wrong'ún under the sun. Players with bad attitudes that other clubs wouldn't touch, players that wanted more money than they were worth etc. None of this is news to most of us I'm sure, but suspecting it and hearing it from a player who was there are 2 very different things.
2.) Hearing Clint talk about the ousting of Warnock (and the part player power played in that), then the disaster that was Mark Hughes, followed by Harry Redknapp trying and failing to fix things just makes me wonder what could have been. Imagine that level of investment during the Hughes era given to a Manager who actually knew what he was doing?
3.) Barton..........clearly a nut job! Perplexes me a bit when I hear fans speaking fondly of his time with us or even suggesting he is a future QPR Manager. Clint made him out to sound unhinged at times, and those 2 are good mates.
4.) Warburton "never worked on defensive corners" during Clint's time at Rangers. Focus in training was 100% on attacking play. I suppose that answers the question we've all been asking about why we keep conceding soft goals from set pieces etc. I do get the mentality, but to expect to be successful at this level when you don't even try to learn from mistakes defensively is absolutely bananas.
5.) How bloody annoying is Si Ferry? Clearly a nice chap, but comes across as thick as 2 short planks. He could also do with some elocution lessons if he fancies himself as a presenter. I was born in Glasgow and at times I even found him quite hard to follow.

How did he compare Hughes and Redknapp with each other? To be fair he spoke reasonably well about every Manager other than Hughes. The suggestion was more that the dressing room was too far gone for Harry to genuinely fix in that relegation season. He even said reasonably nice things about Hasselbaink. His only real gripe was that he trained the players too hard.

How did he compare Hughes and Redknapp with each other? Felt sorry for Harry for walking into a "shitshow" but saw through Hughes with a month or so. Said the players had no time for Hughes whatsoever and stayed up because they hated him more than each other. Well worth a watch as very honest all the way through. A bloke that our club need to look at getting back some time in the future.

Hughes, Rigg and Kia Joorabchin were let loose by the powers that be to sign anyone who could write their name on a contract without any kind of character check being carried out.

How did he compare Hughes and Redknapp with each other? He could never warm to Hughes or Bowen but spoke more highly of Niedzwiecki as a coach. Said that Jordan and Bond didn't get on with each other, but McClaren did a great job when brought in as coach. The stand out story about Harry was when he knocked at his office door, walked in to see him with his feet on his desk, the horse racing on the TV and him reading The Racing Post.

Half decent finisher but a wrong un in character terms.

It's clear that Warburton has no taste for defensive training; maybe that is what John Eustace & Neil Banfield are at the club for? MW obviously trains the defenders with respect to transitioning play when in possession but that's it by the look of it. As a man who took a year off to re-evaluate his football ideology and studied hard to see what he needed to do, he can't be accused of not caring so it would be very interesting to hear his response to the question "Why do you care so little for coaching the defensive of the game?" That said, I hope that he stays with the club for a few years at least, I hadn't enjoyed my football so much since the 2010-11 season.

Actually came and had a chat for a good 5-10 minutes, seemed to take a genuine interest in what we had to say etc. Just an all round decent fella.

I used to meet a couple from Southampton before every game near the school where the players park their cars before games and, as you would expect, Adel would get mobbed every time as he left the car park to head for the players entrance. He would always stop for selfies and autographs with both adults and kids. A short time after he got married he brought both his and his wife's family to a game so around 10-12 people heading for the ground, on a big day for him you would imagine, yet he still stopped and posed for pictures and signed shirts etc. I've never actually heard someone speak badly of him on a personal basis before. He seemed like a very likeable human being.
