As I said in another thread, no-one goes to football to drool at the defence. I've heard plenty of appreciation for a top drawer save or last ditch tackle. Being solid defensively doesn't necessarily bring boring football. For me it is the base of all good teams.

I have waited since the game but not one person has commented on that over his head flick and turn that Eze did in the first half.

I thought he miscontrolled it and was spinning around looking for where the ball had gone!!

On that basis I would have happily seen him pass it square and won two one But that’s just me

Think it got lost once all the twitter lovers started banging on about Benrahma's nutmeg

Yep we should definitely start tinkering as this side will only get us relegated. Silly. Nothing wrong with having an opinion about our awful defending and expressing it. I'm interested to read what others think, rose-tints and naysayers.

Lowest form of wit. If you're happy with our defence so far you're mental. No one said anything about being unhappy about our position so far this season, we've 100% gone far beyond what anyone expected. But many of us would like to keep it that way, and our leaky defence is inevitably going to cost us points when the goals dry up. That's what we're afraid of, a slide down the table. It seems you're alright with that though. As I said in another thread, no-one goes to football to drool at the defence.Personally I find this comment (and the overall tone of your posts in this thread) a bit patronising to be honest Esox, me old mate. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but that's where it stops. You're not entitled to tell other people how to think, or to presume what they may or may not enjoy about watching their team. For what it's worth, I do appreciate seeing a well-drilled defence in action. I find it as enjoyable as watching great attacking play, it's just a different kind appreciation to the joy of seeing a goal scored.

Speaking of excellent defensive play, Everton had a very good defense when they won a European title many years ago.
