English is a very dynamic language. Incidentally, Richard Keogh is available after being sacked by Derby today.

English is a very dynamic language. Incidentally, Richard Keogh is available after being sacked by Derby today. He's also got another 14 months of recovery ahead of him before he's likely to be able to play football again. His career is basically over!

I wonder if the other 2 will be facing similar punishments? After all, Keogh wasn't the one driving, and whoever was driving was under the influence.

Wasnt there a strong rumour doing the rounds that there was a bit of Charlie involved? Maybe the other two haven’t been on the bronson. Just speculating but weird that they would sack one and not the others that were actually driving

I’m just trying to work out why they would sack keogh and appear to let the drivers off the hook. Gotta be more to that than meets the eye

He was offered a deal at less money but meant starting it today and he foregoes his current wage. He obviously said no and then gets sacked. As West said, I am sure he'll win any claim unless there is more to it.

Sounds like constructive dismissal in that case. He should also be able to sue the driver of the car he was in for loss of earnings.

The story I heard was they left a big bar tab unpaid, Keogh was off his face and there was nose bag involved, plus he kicked off at the old bill.
If there is any truth to that then he deserves to watch his career go down the pan!

You could almost forgive the general chaos of it all (although getting hammered in public and sniffing coke are stupid things for professional footballers to be doing). But running off from bar bills when you earn millions, drink driving and kicking off at coppers? What on earth were these lot thinking, particularly Keogh who's 33 years old and club captain?!

But if you are being paid 24 bags of sand a week to be a representative and ambassador of a football club, you need to be held to higher standards!

If he had taken cocaine and kicked off at police as stated how come he wasn’t charged with the offences? The other two have already been charged fined and case dealt with, doesn’t add up
