I thought it was Ferdinand but not too sure, it was all a bit chaotic down that end in the last 10 minutes. Do you remeber that free kick that Taiwo scored from about 30 yards out? Might have been either Birmingham or Sunderland. It was Taiwo and no I do not remember the free kick he scored. Not sure scoring a free kick makes him a beast or the best left back in 50 years but it is an opinion so neither right nor wrong. Perhaps if the only thing you can remember about him is a mistake he made in his last game then I don't think anything I could say could make any difference.

I questioned whether a free kick could make him the best left back we have had in 50 years. As for the mistake again I pointed out he collapsed like a deck of cards for THAT goal. Half a season with a free kick does not for me represent the best left back of 50 years. Gino Padula scored a few free kicks but doubt he would be seen as a beast or the best we have had.

That was my point. The 30+ yard free kick was the high point of his 15 games with us. His dogged tackling, his set piece taking, his mobility along the left side and the overall air of dominance he had in that position was what made him the best we have had in my time but, as I said, if all you remember is a mistake then I will never change your mind.

If a 15 game man represents in your opinion the we have had then thats your opinion which as I pointed earlier is neither right nor wrong. Was he outstanding not for me and certainly nowhere near Clive Wilson but that is my opinion.

I remember Taiwo's free kick...quality. Forgot about him mostly because I have uncontrollable shakes and shivers when I think of the Hughes era.

Austin and Remy with Adel in the hole behind would have been immense.

It's a proper good thread, got me thinking about some of the good times in recent years. Simpson's another one that should really be in there, but Walker was one of the best players I've ever seen in a QPR shirt.

At the moment, Gorkks has the least votes!

I am struggling to think of centre backs outside of Nedum, Gorkks and Dunne. Maybe Nelson? But Kaspars has to be No 1 surely???

I'm guessing Hill will make the shortlist for LB even though he possibly played more at CB during his time here.

I thought he was much better than Furlong I would say more appearances by furlong is what swung it for him. Luke Young is another that looked good for a short spell. I'm guessing the three LBs will be Hill, Bidwell and Taiwo. Only one winner there.

At the moment, Gorkks has the least votes! Well you are talking about a set of fans that thought Paddy Kenny was a better candidate for POTY over the player that was voted the Championship POTY. Smithies was a better keeper than Kenny but he wasn't in Colin's team was he?

When they played Caulker & Sandro Ranieri were good as CB's. Just that the fans were trained to hate them. Same with M'Bia & Diakité. All of them were very badly managed IMO.

Caulker had some shockers in the premier League season but I remember some decent games from him in the championship. Obviously his well publicised off the field problems didn't help. Similar to Diakite really. Loved him during the loan spell but it all went south after he signed permanently.
