Just tried to book train tickets to Derby ,£66 return ! Just wondering if anyone is running coaches to aways ? we last done the LSA coach a few years ago for Man U , it was a bit of a nightmare to be honest ,some prick mc ing over shitty tunes ,everyone smoking ,it was the longest trip back from Manchester imaginable . Its put me off travelling with them . So weve always gone buy train since Shame because we had some brilliant days out with the LSA, on numerous other aways . £66 to travel to Derby is well strong though , any ideas?

Does Mel still do the coaches? Since I moved up to North Oxford it has been uneconomical to drive down to W12 to catch a coach which takes me back past my house on the way to the ground.

As Esox says I know Mel does when there is demand. Also saw on twitter few trying to get the party bus up and running again (not sure if that’s in conjunction with LSA)
I’ve always driven or got train so not sure who the main players are.
LSA have twitter handle if you on that social network

Used to love travelling with the LSA in the 90s. Some great characters and some great memories. Shame what's happened to fans travelling by coach over the last 10 years or so because there's nothing quite like travelling to a match with so many like minded folks and even when you travelled by yourself, you didn't. Remember sharing taxis from White City station to a few South London places after a night away match with a few coach users. Favourite LSA coach trip has to be United away in the quarter final. Great laugh! Worst was Bury away when the coach broke down and they put us on a school run bus for the last 100+ miles. And it was a night match! I have vague memories of a trip to Newcastle where all the coaches were held back at the end of the game but once the roads had cleared a bit the police motorcyclists escorted us to the A1 at very illegal speeds Also someone slipped a VHS copy of a soft porn film like Debbie Does Dallas into the VHS player on the way back which kept most people fairly quiet on the journey back. I can't remember if it was the 1/4 final game at Old Trafford or a different league game but one young lad started into a bottle of "Coke" soon after we left W12 and had it finished and passed out drunk before we went past Stoke. We reached the ground and after a bit of debate Vic decided to leave him to sleep it off as he woudn't be allowed in the ground anyway. When we got back he wasn't there and no-one knew what had happened to him, still don't to be honest, and can only imagine he woke up, tried to get in and was refused entry, possibly arrested.
