Knockaert very dangerous player Mitrovic not playing i think Knockaert and Cavaleiro will cause us problems but I'm glad Mitrovic isn't playing. Can't let that prick Cairney run the MF either. was chatting Fulham mate at footie tonight and he said Knockaert flatters to deceive and most Fulham fans would happily see back of him. Said they can’t defend and he’s expecting away win 😳

To be honest I think we will struggle immensely against them. I can see us losing by 3 or 4 goals. To be honest I think Fulham will struggle immensely against us. I can see us winning by 3 or 4 goals I like your spirit better than mine. I hope your`re right..

Need to stop Knockaert somehow He could destroy our defence Let's see whether Warburton can get them up for it. If he can't, he should go. Let yourself down there. Stupid.

Can't see it being first clean sheet so vital Wells and/or Hugill takes chances. Cairney will run midfield again - I'd stick Amos on him, don't give him time to play.

Agree Al need nullify Cairney or at very least get him playing in opposite direction because we’re attacking. We never got to grips with Sawyers against WBA and he ran the game let’s not make same mistakes tonight.

Hal's remark is obviously ridiculous but I do get where he's coming from. Clearly the defensive issues this season have been very frustrating when you consider where we may be sitting in the table had some basic errors been cut out.
Saying that he should watch MW addressing this issue on the fans forum video, if he's not yet seen it, as at least it goes some way to explain the situation. He may then cut him more slack.

Voice of reason there Stan, something all too often missing from debate these days. That said I don't think we have the balance right yet between 'developing valuable assets' and picking up points for OUR club. You need wins to build confidence and play well.

Like Stanley says, I think Warburton is very aware of how badly we need to field an improved defence..but at the same time, we now have the whole club singing from the same hymn sheet. Playing the same system from the youth system and up, sounds good to me. However, football clearly is a result business, which sometimes means that, in our case, we have to pay attention to how the opposition play . When playing out from the back isn`t working, we have to be able to change our way of play in certain matches.. I dont know whether or not this made much sense though..

I think his mantra is, if playing out from the back isn't working then we need to get better at it until it does.

We criticised Holloway for having no plan B. If it isn't working change it and practise some more in training.

Can't agree Mush. Amos is a terrier, Ball more suited to defensive role. Plus Amos can play if he wins it in dangerous places.cairney plays too deep for Ball to have shadow job.

I think his mantra is, if playing out from the back isn't working then we need to get better at it until it does. Yes, he said so at the fan meeting. And he also pointed out that young players will be drilled accordingly. Hopefully it will all come to frutition in a not to distant future...and in the meantime with as few goals against as possible... Here is hoping, because we will still need a fair amount of points to finish this season in an acceptable position. Have to say, that a play off position probably is too much to ask for, if I`m being honest..

Amos is Dom Ball++
I actually rate Dom but if you can have a player who can do the dirty job and play in one they must surely be ahead of the player who can just do the dirty

Need to stop Knockaert somehow He could destroy our defence They're really not all that. This is a pretty shitty division bar maybe the top two or three. Hence the inconsistent form on all fronts. You go in with an organised back line and you break out quick. We need to press, I notice that we did that for a while but not so much recently. This isn't fucking Barcelona, they're beatable. If we try and just park up, or play without confidence we'll have problems. Let's see whether Warburton can get them up for it. If he can't, he should go.
Had to be the first to get it in..... Seriously though if you can't motivate players for this type of fixture you do need to ask yourself some big questions. We should never ever leave a local derby thinking that they wanted it more.

Birmingham etc? you still only get three points for a win or one point for a draw no matter what their geographical location is. As I said above, it seems to be just hubris.

Brilliant so far. Need to start taking these chances though. God knows we need at least a 2 goal head start this season!
