I have looked at the Derby goal and unfortunatly think Lumley was again part to blame
35 yards out off his line to far very slow to re act
My gran could have reacted quicker than that , it was a great free kick but way to far of his farking line have a look

We were harsly treated by the ref again today. I didn`t see the penalty, but we seem to get too many 50/50 free kicks against us, imo..

First time we have taken anything from derby away in seasons.
Not having derby fans moaning about pen either after one they got last season in last min to win it (Lumley screw up there if memory serves be right 😝)

So will we now stop hearing about no plans B?? Taken long enough. Who knows what was said behind closed doors this week.

So will we now stop hearing about no plans B?? Better late than never.... ideally you need a gaffer who is able to adapt during the 90... maybe that'll come too....

Seriously, it wasn't a great game but BFG and Hall were clearly more comfortable and they only conceded one from a free kick not open play. The fire drill was greeted with 'how shit must you be you only scored one'. Exactly.

The fire drill was greeted with 'how shit must you be you only scored one'. Exactly. Four at the back. Tight and compact. Not a central three spread all over the place leaving gaps to be exploited. Simple. Go three by moving Cameron or Ball back (Manning if Wallace is LB) when you need to if chasing the game, but always start with four.

But taken long enough or better late then never we agree he used Plan B so it’s one less thing to beat with?? 😋
For those there or who watched online were our set pieces better as they have been really poor. Also interested in how Amos got on

No difference with our set pieces really, not that you'd notice. I'm biased maybe because I like the Amos/Cameron pairing as a base in midfield but Cameron upped his game and was looking like the player at Stoke first game until he slowed noticeably with 15/20 to go. Amos was naive with his challenge for the free kick, giving the player a chance 'to go down/cheat' but he gets about, closes down well, often wins the ball and passes quickly - and you can tell he's been schooled well as he covers other players when they move out of position. BOS made tge biggest difference with his pace and aggression but, as always with him, end product needs improving.

That positive read cheers Al
I do rate Amos if we can get him match fit and firing. He was ahead of Harry Winks until he got injured at Spurs

Will take the draw all day long especially after the run we were on. Still work to do and lets hope we are disciplined next week against Preston who are a well organised outfit.

Derby won their last 5 at home too so a draw up there is far from shabby. It’s more about the performance though and we definitely looked a tighter unit.

Smith is rated by Wales and City but it seems not by our manager. Saw him briefly against Wigan and looked today. Surely better than Scowen.

Just saw Eze pen lovely and calm. Great pen
I would take him off next one though to mix it up as opposition will do homework and be expecting it so I would stay ahead of the game and switch him for someone else. Then go back to him

Then go back to him Reminds me of Cantona back in the day did the slow run up then waited for the keeper to go then went the other way. Homework can be done but his way is all about getting the keeper to commit so you need plenty of balls to keep doing it.

Credit where it is due as Derby, as poor as they are away from home, have only lost once at home all season so a draw under our current run of form is a very good result IMO.
Agree Lumley might have been too far over but that was a very good free kick.
Good to see Rangel back and a flat back four - think this is pivotal to us becoming better at the back.

Have to admit, when I saw Lumley trying to save the free kick I couldn’t help but think of those women’s football highlights we’ve seen this season. 😂

Speaking about Lumley, imagine how many nightmares he must have had this week. IMO, he deserves a medal for just being able to turn up for yesterday`s match. Credit when credit is due..

Shania, if we had a replacement, Joe would have been taken out of the firing line by now. MW did this a few weeks ago when Kelly came in for him, until he got injured. But I agree Lumley had a better game yesterday. One good quality he possesses is his bounce-back-ability as he's certainly not short on confidence. I also noticed him kicking it long a couple of times yesterday, instead of the constant playing it short. Hopefully this instruction came from above and wasn't an executive decision.

Its absolutely one of our main problems and its been flagged up a few times. I like Amos too.. You can see the difference: he's been properly schooled prior to us. Our coaching staff should have been doing that with the rest of them but there's been no sign of it. I wonder if we'll see an increasing amount of CR involvement in that area. A lot of what's gone wrong has been down to poor magement decisions rather than lack of player quality. There have been pluses, but we got worked out and had no answer. As long as lessons have been learned we'll be fine.

That is true, Stanley. And I also agree with you that he is not short on confidence. Not sure how I should rate him tecnically as a keeper. He still seems to lack a bit upperbody strength . But, imo, he still has a future in the Championship. In the Prem, I am not so sure.

There have been pluses, but we got worked out and had no answer. That, in a nutshell, was the reason for our recent poor form IMO.
