If we're bottom three at Christmas you might get your wish... That said, I don't think we will be.
It's not a wish Lofty, it's desperate times calling for desperate measures. I'm just not convinced - at all - that Ainsworth's got what it takes. More than happy to be proved wrong.
A retraction:
Like a lot of fans, I'm quick to judge, especially negatively, and slow to change my mind over those judgements. And because this is a results based business, a very poor run of form makes it hard to see a positive future with the same people in place. But, having watched the Fans' Forum in full, I've changed my mind. I am impressed by Gareth Ainsworth and the change in culture that he has instigated. He's far from the simple footballer who stepped up that I've painted him in my mind; and despite appearances perhaps, he's not only an astute feller, he's also got a genuine passion for this club, and that makes him a real asset.
As I said in a different thread, GA's bought astutely, given the financial limitations, and he clearly has a well-thought out - and ambitious - long term plan. So, on reflection, I wouldn't want old Colin back, much as I love him and what he did for us. I think we've finally got a properly united team at QPR on every level, from Chairman and owners downwards. And as I said in that comment, at least we've got a fighting chance now.

Yep. I agree with this. Am on Team Gaz. I May wobble in that belief, however, when I listen to his post match interviews, see the home results, and watch our inability to manage a match when down to ten men....

that was my impression from meeting him he’s sharper then the club interviews show. It’s just a shame the stuff the club puts out on him undermines him and his credibility. He still has more to deliver and to prove to the fans that he can do the job but he’s not as bad as some are portraying.

Broadly agree. But I still have nightmarish flashbacks about that Haka...

Find him a job at the club for when the inevitable happens and Ainsworth gets the sack.

He's only 6 years younger than Terry Venables. Should we consider bringing him back too? Or maybe both of them as a double-act?

Was being the key, his stock has fallen. He got old and past it. Nothing wrong in that, happen to us all. But wouldn’t take him back on what sentiment and past. Noddy is still shit though but better out there than them

This had to be timed for after today and before the Rotherham game, Shirley? (Regardless of today's result)
Assuming Telegraph are right of course, which seems likely.

Neil and Amit always had a strong relationship, and with Amit still Chairman 12 years on, this would make sense.

Personally think he’s perfect. Can put his arm round the ones that need it and bollock the ones that need it. Think he’d do well back here this isn’t the worst squad of players we’ve had despite everything that’s happened. It needs a leader

FFS! We were never going to get anything out of this game so why wait until another week has gone? A new man might have got us a point today, certainly had nothing to lose. So are they saying he would have stayed if we’d won today? Madness. Let’s hope they get this one right. Right for me is keeping us up and sorting out a few potentials for next summer, EARLY, if it’s a temporary fix. Shades of 2010 when he was brought in and saved us from relegation... Please god. No….. just No. He wouldn’t dare. Not want him then Hits? No, Hits has never been a fan.
