He’s younger than Hodgson who is deemed good enough for Premier League. Since he managed 4 games with us winning 50% of them he’s managed:
Rotherham - 38% win record and kept them up Cardiff - 41% win record and got them promoted Middlesbrough- 39% win record Huddersfield - 38% win record and kept them up.
If he joins, we should be fucking delighted. We treated him poorly before. Now time to stick with him.

If he was offered a rolling contract which is reassessed at the end of each season (like Warbs had), do you think he'd accept that or would want two years minimum?

FFS! We were never going to get anything out of this game so why wait until another week has gone? A new man might have got us a point today, certainly had nothing to lose. So are they saying he would have stayed if we’d won today? Madness. Let’s hope they get this one right. Right for me is keeping us up and sorting out a few potentials for next summer, EARLY, if it’s a temporary fix. Shades of 2010 when he was brought in and saved us from relegation... No, Hits has never been a fan. Is Hits actually a fan of anyone though? 🤣

Warnock would be ok to have even if we drop. That`s another plus. His age of 74 is a minus.

As someone mentioned earlier, Roy Hodgson is two years older than Warnock at 76. So is age necessarily such a barrier, particularly if it's a short-term appointment?
What I would question more is if he would agree to the type of season-by-season rolling contract Warburton had. Beale, Critchley and Ainsworth did not.

It could be that Sharon W. actually would say the opposite, as far as a person like Neil W. is concerned. Not sure the length of the contract would be a problem. I think bonuses will trigger him. Signings will also have to be made of course.

He seemed bit of a free spirit way he walked away from city and West Ham and content do tolling with us. He might not like being tied down. Personally I would want the long term security.

Would hope any conversation about him being temp charge if that is the case also involves him considering being long term DOF. Surely would suit him down to ground still in the game and massively involved in role which might give him more family time

Surely would suit him down to ground still in the game and massively involved in role which might give him more family time Wouldnt mind seeing Furlong as his No. 2 and start building from within. If he doesn’t shape up no change in situation, still looking for someone next summer. Nothing to lose

I love Warnock as much as any Rangers fan, and if it's him I will welcome him.... But it feels very underwhelming & a real sign of how far we have fallen if we go back to a 74 year old Neil Warnock. Surely we can do better, no?!

At the moment it’s just about staying in Champ tho Matty. He can do that for us. If anyone can.

At the moment it’s just about staying in Champ tho Matty. He can do that for us. If anyone can. But it isnt mutually exclusive is it? It isn't "we employ Warnock or we go down". There's 32 games left. Surely we can employ somebody that won't need replacing when he retires in a year, somebody more modern & progressive? Would be a shit appointment IMHO (albeit would welcome him back as he is a hero, admittedly).

His plus point is that he’s got teams out of the shit before and pressure won’t get to him if there’s a wobble on the way. Westy’s idea is a good one - sort us out then move upstairs for a while.

Then we not got to piss about every few months playing musical chairs. Bet they don’t take lazy attitude when employing someone to look after their core business

Who do you trust out of our shower to make the right long term appointment tho? At least if we have a proper football man here we’ve got a chance.
