Hi all
Sorry for lack of posts but I've been in sunny Thailand for 2 weeks 😄
Just a quick note to say Song completed a full medical and despite passing injury wise I'm told Rangers deemed him to be in a physical condition that would take too long to get to match fit state so passed on a deal.
He was asking for quite a hefty salary in our terms (approx £15-20k pw) plus he's also just bought into a large property development in Africa and by all accounts this was a potential sticking point. Not sure why but taking a guess it sounds like maybe he wanted to split his time.
Only other news I've heard which is nothing new is that the Jack Clarke deal is definitely close despite 5 clubs after him and we're also monitoring Stoke City midfielder Ryan Woods.
Any other titbits I hear I'll post 👍🏼👍🏼

It is possible to visit Thailand and avoid the seedy bits. Another option is to visit the coastal parts/smaller islands of Indonesia and Malaysia. You can experience the best bits of South East Asia without being exposed to the smut that comes with visiting places like Phuket or Bangkok.

Absolutely fantastic. Spent one night in Bangkok before flying home and would never stay there again. Absolute shit hole and the sight of fat old fellas with young girls and men was sickening. I found it all very seedy and actually quite sad. As Tarbs said, no one should judge Thailand on Bangkok. 34-35 degrees every day. Beautiful grub for £2 a pop in restaurants and ice cold Chang and Singha beers for 80p and a £1 To say I’m gutted to be back is an understatement haha |

I have never stayed in Bangkok but spent some time in Samui and Phuket which I really enjoyed. I worked in Hong Kong for a few years so Thailand was a relatively local and cheap holiday from there so we went a couple of times. I found the people so lovely and the food and scenery is fantastic as you say. I need to go back again! Glad you had a good time mate. |
