He stuck picture up of his knee in a brace Ok. Can you link? Saw that he played the full match for Marbella this weekend, so I assumed he was allright?

Just read it. Gotta love the guy. And even though it can be interesting to hear about bust ups etc., it´s even nicer to read how respectful, professional and loyal he is toward his former colleagues and managers - not least compared to someone like Barton. "What happens in the dressing room stays in the dressing room." Good man, Ale. Announces his retirement. One of those players that was always a favourite among the fans, always gave it everything and was a genuinely very good player too. Fantastic player, brilliant attitude, top top professional. Thanks for the memories, Ale, happy retirement.
(Hadn't seen a thread for this already, if there is one and I missed it, feel free to add to the existing one)

Hope he gets a bit of luck now, because he has had some shit luck with those knees. Mightily impressive the way he battled back from his injury setbacks, but such a shame he never realised his full potential. Happy retirement, Ale.

Probably my fav player in his time with us a real pro in every sense. Vision passing tackling breaking up play and getting forward on occasions.
Enjoy your well earned retirement
Is or has he been inducted into the legends
