So.... a confession: sometimes I like to watch football from a neutral perspective. Taking my QPR-tinted glasses off for a moment and just enjoying football for the sheer pleasure of it. And recently there's been an absolute feast to dine from (ignoring that which hasn't been great) in the Premiership and Europe. I have really enjoyed, for example, Liverpool's renaissance under Jurgen Klopp. But here's the controversial bit: yesterday, I enjoyed watching Chelsea, and in particular the tactical battle between the young apprentice and the old master - a battle which the apprentice won hands down. Phat Phrank showed Moaninho up for the dinosaur he is. And I am not ashamed to say I really enjoyed the game - the ugly racist incident apart. I thought Chelsea played with discipline, passion and intent. Tactically tight, Phrank got it spot on. Willian was magnificent and Mason Mount is one hell of a burgeoning talent.
Okay, feel free to have a hissy fit about me liking a Chelsea performance if you must!
😀

I really don't understand the obsession some of our fans have with Frank Lampard. He was a wonderful player for club and Country and is a good young English manager who will one day lead his country. It's bad enough having a fantasy rivalry with Chelsea but excessively hating random players makes us look ridiculous. yeah i don't get it either. i don't really hate chelsea much anyway as a fair few of my family support them and me too when i was a young boy so i've always had a tad soft spot for them. frank is doing excellent work there given roman's lack of interest, transfer embargo and losing some of their best players recently. he's gotta be applauded for the work he's done as many people including myself expected chelsea to really struggle this season but their players are working their socks off for him. future england manager imo

And what a player Frank Lampard was! A midfielder who could teach Hugill and Wells a trick or two about finishing.

[br It still doesn’t change the fact that a lot of their fans are numbskulls who don’t have a scooby about football 😄

Can’t disagree with that. I suppose Chelsea seem to have more than their fair share because of all the Johnny come lately’s who got used to a diet of success and can’t handle anything less. Mind you, we have a few of those.

I was talking about this to a mate the other day. We didn't really used to hate Chelsea back in the 70/80s. I think it was the loadsa money and John Terry era that caused the recent dislike.
I don't like the Frankfest from the media but they are good to watch this season.

I don't like the Frankfest from the media but they are good to watch this season. We used to sing about hating Chelsea a lot more in the 80's but it was born out of us being desperate to have a local rival as we hadn't played our historical rivals, Brentford, since the mid 1960s. The reality is that most QPR fans had Chelsea friends, most families in the area had a mixture of both Rangers and Chelsea supporters and they used to sit together at matches with no trouble at all. I have never met any Chelsea fan who hates QPR and I suspect most on here wouldn't have either. I don't know what it is with us and choosing our 'rivals'. We have a historical one with Brentford and developed a passionate one with Luton and yet some still go on about Chelsea and don't get me started about that bloody embarrassing song we sing about Cardiff... Personally I can’t stand anything about them. Their purchased success, their celery bullshit, their captain ...leader.....wanker, their “new” support, their deception that they are bigger than they are etc etc. It’s healthy to have rivalry. Don’t like Luton, or the Tarquins but for me it always has been and always will be them. Fucking peasants

Fucking peasants To be fair we lost the right to moan about their expenditure when we embraced rich owners and when 'Little QPR' were buying players from AC Milan... Also, they are historically one of the top 10 supported teams in the country. The still boil my piss lol

We did have the odd scrap with them ,but plenty have been guests for either side. ie sure away one year,QPR Chelsea went back late evening and attacked certain spurs pub.

Never had a problem with Frank Lampard. Seems a decent bloke and speaks a lot of sense. Think I got rinsed on the old site for saying I thought he do well when Derby took him on as Manager!
