Still happy with the season so far.. Of course disappointed when we lose and frustrated at giving points away when we haven't really been beaten. Hopefully Jan window will push us on.

Question is who is available Veteran keeper im struggling John Ruddy or the like. Michel Vorm now Loris is fit? Angel might persuade him if there's any chance.

Does have a point though about taking chances but even if we did don’t make the number we ship acceptable Maybe he/we will address it in Jan. perhaps what we have defensively is simply not good enough? Where I lose sympathy is picking Manning week in week out. Said at start of season he would cost us and got criticised but the fella is huge part of our defensive fragility. Possibly up there with top three worst defenders I’ve seen in the shirt. If the boss keeps picking him, when he’s involved in most goals, then he deserves the pelters and criticism Manning had his best game defensively for us today, Bowen never got a sniff, maybe he is getting to grips with the role. Something that won't happen for him back in the U23's.

Thought we handled Bowen (easily one of the best players in the league) and Grosicki well today but it was just a shame we can't get it together as a unit defensively.

Manning was up against Bowler not Boden!!! And he got beaten again, as he does every game, to allow yet another cross into the box for the Lumley error
He’s played worse then yesterday, I will offer that, but he’s the weak link and if we are genuinely looking to improve team and stop conceding goals then he is one of first positions you upgrade and strengthen

That's the bottom line here. He's done his best there but it's just not his natural position. At least Wallace is a defender by trade. But Warby knows best I can only assume...

Agree stan hence why it’s position I would focus on if Wallace is also seen as not good enough. Manning, for me, is only playing there as he’s left footed, has decent engine and Wallace was out start of season. Could not get in Rotherham team last season after his first month
This is why I get baffled when people big him up as having great season, even saw on twitter someone say he’s POS so far

This has been a huge problem since Smithies left and we allowed ourselves to go with Ingram and Lumley. I said on the other board at the time that you cannot allow a keeper as good as him go and replce him with those two. Very much like Les going and replacing him with Dichio! This case highlights hoe poor our scouting network is as we have had 18 months to address this and still no one has been loaned or bought. Kelly aside that is and he is no long term answer.

And to think we once had Heaton on loan. Probably didn't rate him.

I think you'll find he's no. 3 no2 as French guy dislocated his arm thought he was supposed to be fit again for New Year? That's why I suggested Vorm.

Which is his position. Where he's played all his career. Push Manning up and play him LB. what's to lose? Simple. Even elementary.

Just get some new ones in defence and goal
Veteran defenders like Hill and Dunn with an experienced keeper
Will fix all our problem top 10 then so easy to fix this situation

Buy Smithies back 3 million
1 million each for 2 defenders 32 age plus
That's what Warnock the King would do wouldn't he now

Eating my words after yesterday's performance. Might be a different tale against Leeds thought, we may need Mannings speed to cope with Alioski. Wallace IS slow, but effective in that role.
