All i remember was he debued for against Leicester , and i only remember that cos we were stuffed 5-1 , and we ended up loaning him out to a few clubs . What was the anger /outrage about ? it cant have been that bad ,if i dont remember it !

Don't think talent or athleticism was the issue for this kid, he had all of that in abundance. I think the issue is all down to attitude.
Yet another wasted talent unfortunately. He should be playing in the football league somewhere!

Good to see he's doing well for himself🤣. This is one reason I'm not getting too excited about our youngsters now. Of course they're all talented and all have been built up to be the next best thing but saying it and proving it are completely different things. I guess we'll see how good they are next season.

I'd question a) how we handle youngsters and b) if we kid ourselves how good they are. I saw Dave Clement's debut and even me being only a kid I could see the guy just looked right. Years later I saw Gerry Francis' debut and you just knew he had it all going. Allen, Goddard, Gallen, one or two others along the way but I don't get same vibe from the current lot. Worries me how much we are expecting from Chair if we lose Freeman and cash out on Eze.

I remember the interview from Les at the time, where he hinted that Cole had some problems with his motivation/attitude. Real shame, because he was/is a talented lad, and even had matches for England U20s. Maybe one of those were the early success made his head too big for his shoulders, but I hope for his own sake that he gets back on track. Good luck Cole.

Fans don't see what the coaching staff see week in week, week out. I'm not even sure Kpekawa was fit enough to play by the end of his time with us. Looked really tubby in photos when he signed for Barnsley. |
