Undisclosed = too cheap so keep schtum. Most transfers are undisclosed these days Al. Not just ours. It is Sky that wants them all disclosed to fuel their transfer wankfest. I still clearly remember Jim Smith saying what a great transfer window Fulham had had because they spent £100m. That was the season they went down |

David Marshall gone to Derby, Would have done us a treat good experienced keeper who is used to playing in this division. Don't genuinely believe a new keeper is on the shopping list. Warbs is talking about another 3 or 4 in. Given Dieng seems likely to come into the first team picture, and the fact that neither Lumley or Kelly seem to be going anywhere you'd have to say there are many areas of the squad that are more critical. Most important position on the pitch so for me a keeper of that ilk would have done us and helped Lumley and Dieng especially and more importantly took all the pressure off the pair of them. |

Go for Simon Francis on a free as been released by Bournemouth. Good experienced centre back who will bring much needed leadership at the back.
Someone to lead the back line and someone to coach it has to be the absolute priority. I don't care about any other signings. They just don't matter.
Francis is a decent shout but there is no evidence anyone at the club understands the basic principals of defence / off the ball coaching.

The problem is that Lumley is far from good enough with the ball at his feet. Or, indeed, in his hands. to be fair to him he was much better when he came in for kelly. i do firmly believe that lumley is a good keeper with lots of potential, his confidence was just shattered |

Keepers in modern day need to be more then shot stoppers |

Keepers are taught to sweep,pick out the right ball,talk,control their area,well at least at academy level they is cos my son was. Then God knows.

Good player though. Would be very happy with that. Charlton supporting mate reckons he’s one of their better players. Only concern for me would be his stature at under 6 ft. Think we need a big physical presence in there especially if the bfg as expected goes. |

We can’t risk a 20mill asset right now!! |

We can’t risk a 20mill asset right now!! I can see him starting the season with us and going late in the window. Don’t think he’s the type of character that wouldn’t play. Probably a combination of not wanting to risk injury in a nothing game and having an extra bit of rest after a blinding season. |

The only losers would be us and him. Potentially sidelined for a few weeks or month, doesn’t get the move he wants, his value depreciates and we don’t even get to use him. Very risky to play a player who imo is going to be off this summer and I imagine will be finding our recruitment as well as serving various debts and bills the club need to play. Why would any business risk that? |

They have also just stated they think Fulham are the most likely
Club right now to meet our 20mill valuation.
Got to be honest and say I think of Fulham did meet our valuation I wouldn’t be to bothered.
It’s not nice seeing a player go to a rival club but that 20 mill could help stabilise us and if reinvested wisely we could bring in 3/4 or 5 decent players imo!

He’s better than them I agree toally, They also play a slow tempo game which is all about possesion which is a style that would not suit him in my opinion. He is more of a dynamic move it quick kind of player |
