Agreed Esox and so they should worry. But correct me if I am wrong was WF not another one of hot air PR BS stunts. I question as that bloke was in charge while trying to find a site for a stadium and training complex. If it is 3 years then great hopefully it turns into 133 years.

Only an opinion but I think TF genuinely had thoughts of getting both projects done. He brought in Phillip Beard who had delivered the O2 but upon reflection, neither of them had a scooby about what needed doing to flesh out those grandiose plans and it was no surprise when Beard departed. The recent good times have all come about since TF was booted first sideways and now into the background. If this corruption thing is proven then I wouldn't be surprised if the Tune Group disappeared altogether from QPR.

I for one would be very happy when that Charlatan has gone as long as there is the guarantee of no return. An absolute disaster of a chairman and every spoers body in the world should black list him.

QPR on the verge of deal for new training ground By David McIntyre 19/05/2020
QPR appear to be close to an agreement with Imperial College to acquire the site of a proposed new training ground for the club.
Rangers recently called time on an attempt to build a new facility at Warren Farm.
It came amid yet another legal challenge to the project – and after Rangers became aware of a possible chance to acquire the site on Crane Lodge Road in Cranford.
It was previously owned by British Airways and is commonly still known as the Concorde Club despite being renamed Heston Venue when it was bought by Imperial.
QPR already have a presence at the site – the club’s academy teams are based there. Imperial also own Rangers’ current training ground, at Harlington. Both facilities are close to Heathrow Airport.
Talks between the club and Imperial are now at a very advanced stage and an agreement is almost in place.

How does this compare to Warren Farm? Are we pretty much able to replicate here what was proposed on the Ealing equivalent of the Garden of Eden?

How does this compare to Warren Farm? Are we pretty much able to replicate here what was proposed on the Ealing equivalent of the Garden of Eden? It is half the size of Warren Farm but as it is only to be used by QPR there is no requirement to provide sporting pitches for the community. The Education centre is already in use by QPR for academy purposes so little to no work needed there and a major consideration is that Warren Farm required 9-12 months of landfill to level the area ready for the laying of the pitches etc. This is no longer necessary. The biggest bonus is the fact that the purchase is for freehold and not lease so it becomes an asset.

So we have bought that now? I didn't see anything on QPR site about it.
What grade academy are we going for and what's the eta for opening, does anyone know?

So we have bought that now? I didn't see anything on QPR site about it. What grade academy are we going for and what's the eta for opening, does anyone know? I revisited the Tweet that picture appeared on, had some doubts as to it's intention and have replied on the Tweet asking whether it was a celebration of the players getting back to training or an announcing that the club had bought the site from Imperial College. To date they haven't responded. To have a Cat A academy we would need to provide overnight accommodation, a dormitory, and the related staff. Lee Hoos has said in the past that this won't be happening but who knows with the new site? as there is an education centre nearby which is already used by our academy players. We will continue to be a Cat B academy AFAIK. Obviously this is just my opinion and based on the clubs status before the ending of the season. We still have to see what the full effects of this hiatus will be on QPR going forward and there may be an enforced sea change in the clubs operations. We have been very fortunate that in the last few years Les & Hoos have been driving the club towards a sustainability which may result in QPR being a viable football club at the end of all this. Clubs such as Sheff. Weds, Derby & Blackburn could be in real trouble at the end of this. I wrote to the EFL regarding the handling of P&S in light of the pandemic and received a typically vague answer but when I wrote back again detailing some questions I wanted answering the reply was still vague but they did say that owners could not lend their clubs money per se in contravention of P&S but they could convert money into equity in the clubs to keep them afloat without falling foul of the FFP guidelines. As it stands, to the best of my knowledge, QPR would have been in a position to declare an £11m profit in the next set of figures (obviously a lot more if Eze, BOS etc. are sold) but that could change with no current income and be much reduced. It would still leave us in a much better position that say, Blackburn, who are £180m in debt. I realise that I have answered more than the question but hopefully I have answered some unasked questions too.

Is there enough room to build an all in one training ground and stadium on that site?

If they are buying the land then they probably can't say anything until the deal has gone through. Makes sense, as if they talk about it then others may want the land and out bid us.

Goodbye Warren farm........... May you rot in peace. You can see from that why the Save Warren Farm group were so dedicated to preserving such natural beauty. They must be so proud of saving their melted wheelie bins and illicit drinking dens.
