Not fit not professional. Very poor Being unfit is totally worth unacceptable. What have they been doing? I feel for them. Gotta say I've put on a few pounds since working from home.

Only one home win in the Championship today. Fuck playing games with no fans. Same thing happened in the Bundesliga. Seems its proving more advantageous to be the away side when there are no fans in attendance.

Our problem is we rely on 2 players,was3,but Bali left, the other 2 to follow. Then there not much left.

No excuse to being unfit , players have individual plans to stay fit and when to peak

Don’t get me wrong as I like or maybe it’s I liked this team and what Les and Warburton had built. But....that was a bloody disgrace. I have no issue losing if you get beat by better side but Barnsley are beyond shit. We lost because our team wasn’t fit enough and hadn’t had enough practice. It’s a bloody disgrace. Show some Pride in the shirt. Show some pride for yourself. Disgrace and embarrassment are only words to describe you lot.

Some of them gave us a right royal “fuck you”....and we know who you are. Show some fucking respect for yourself and us.

I’m going to curb my annoyance at a poor performance today in our first game back from lockdown. The players didn’t look fit or fully committed against a team fighting to stay in this league. It could be argued on the players behalf that it is impossible to stay fit running in a park or whatever they should have been doing. Hopefully next couple games will be much better in terms of fitness and effort.

We were on lockdown light....meaning we could still exercise. Strange times but we showEd ourselves to bend over.

In hindsight think it was more then just fitness we also looked bit disinterested. No intensity to get game restarted from free kicks or throw ins
No one had a good game, probably a 4 across the board
Totally flat effort. Couple of occasions sparked to life but that was the exception
At least it stops the talk and anticipation of potential play position. End of the season will be like people jogging over the line at the end of marathon

All teams are in the same situation though Sparx, so I don't see how that argument can be used. I know it was a direct question that was asked of Warbs about Shodipo performance but he does emphasise that Shodipo “ CAME BACK REALLY FIT “ and its clear that he was perhaps the only plus from yesterday. I suspect that the club were caught on the back foot and were not expecting the season to resume so quick despite other clubs reported to have individual players back training alone during the lockdown. Maybe other clubs have bypassed the guidelines regarding non contact training earlier too. I would also question the players determination and effort yesterday and I wonder if seeing players leaving put a black cloud over the group ?

Few over reactions on here.
Personally I fully expected us to lose going into that game yesterday. Barnsley are fighting for their lives and have had the last 3 months to think about it, get themselves fit and mentally right to save their season.
We on the other hand are mid table, unlikely to go up or down, and frankly we aren't the best run club at the best of times. I wasn't at all surprised to see us look off the pace. Lee Hoos has been pretty vocal about us not being ready for the restart.
The worrying thing is most of our upcoming games are against sides at the bottom fighting for survival. Wouldn't be surprised to see us come 2nd best in most of those games.

A clear issue yesterday, was the fact (imo) that we yet again fail to adapt to the other team`s style of play, and we were not at the races from the start of the match. Barnsley pressed us and we should have played longer balls to stretch them. Another point worth making was the absence of Hall (permanent) and Cameron (temporary). Shodipo played very well when he came on.

We got our pants pulled down again. Suppose to be a professional club keeping your eye on the ball all the time,we didnt and paid the penalty yesterday.
This is why Hoos reacted like he did when season restart was announced imo.He new we were nowhere near ready and the rest is history ,no excuses just poor planning and being unproffesional in every sense of the word.

That SHOULD have been a massive motivating factor. Totally agree. It’s absolute bollocks to make excuses like we’ve got nothing to play for. Have some professional pride ffs. There’s still 24 points to play for

Ain't trying to make excuses chaps. Just saying for me, it was inevitable we were gonna come back from this break badly. All the clues were there.

Yes played together against brum at home recently.
Some bees fans rate barbet as good LB but lacks concentration to play CB.
Interesting to read Essox comments and thoughts on watching 90 min Preston game on offs recently..he noticed barbet was only defender aware of manning pushing forward too much and having to keep shifting across to cover for him.
Maybe if we had another CB barbet could play LB ?
