Yes played together against brum at home recently. Some bees fans rate barbet as good LB but lacks concentration to play CB. Interesting to read Essox comments and thoughts on watching 90 min Preston game on offs recently..he noticed barbet was only defender aware of manning pushing forward too much and having to keep shifting across to cover for him. Maybe if we had another CB barbet could play LB ? Wallace is a perfectly good left back at this level. Dunno why Manning gets the nod over him. Just because he is much better going forward than Wallace. Warbs not too worried about full backs defending.

If the boss wants to fit Manning in somewhere it should be in the midfield for me.

I haven’t seen enough of Wallace to make an opinion Tarbie but I would guess Warbs sees Manning offering more going forwards. Wallace has very good pedigree though and am surprised he hasn’t dislodged daisy chain Manning.

We got our pants pulled down again. Suppose to be a professional club keeping your eye on the ball all the time,we didnt and paid the penalty yesterday. This is why Hoos reacted like he did when season restart was announced imo.He new we were nowhere near ready and the rest is history ,no excuses just poor planning and being unprofessional in every sense of the word. I belong to a FB Championship group and for the last few months Leeds fans have been bragging how Bielsa arranged for all the players to have duplicates of the training room at The Arches at their houses and they were all bragging just how fit Leeds would be at the restart. Well, that didn't work out so well for them did it? I commented before the game kicked off that Hugill was carrying a lot of timber and he was the least effective player on the pitch and spurned one very good chance and one decent chance to score which for someone on loan from an EPL club is pretty unforgivable. As I confidently predicted before the games began, there will be a lot of unexpected results in this mini season and so far I feel I have not been far wrong. It was also interesting that only one home team won in the Championship yesterday so hopefully the clubs will realise that it isn't football without fans there.

Still no excuse just because other teams got beat, should of been prepared and we were not, play off chance beckoned but club caught out big time.

Had a look on LFW and manning getting bit of a beating for his performance but I never thought he was any worse then he normally is or worse then anyone else.

Had a look on LFW and manning getting bit of a beating for his performance but I never thought he was any worse then he normally is or worse then anyone else. At least he was involved in the game good, bad or indifferent. Hugill was completely anonymous with the exception of two defensive headers and two glaring misses. If Manning was a 3 or 4 rating then Hugill was 2 or lower. Shocking performance yesterday from him. On the subject of Manning; did anyone else notice a very fleeting passage of play in the second half that the commentators talked over and never mentioned at all where Manning and Eze each pinged three one touch high speed passes at each other before Manning put the ball into the penalty area? Absolute top quality football which served to show that it can be done.

Must have dozed off prior to that pattern of play Esox 😁 The whole thing couldn't have lasted more than a second or two but it was real quality passing.

Luke Amos loan extended to the end of the season. Thought Spurs recalled him last Friday?

I think we might have a problem up front for the remainder of the season. Hugill looked awful, weeks away from match fitness. The games come thick and fast now and I don't think we really have another genuine option in terms of a number 9.

Hugill doesn’t provide too much of an aerial threat and looks very round shouldered..his hold up play and shooting are poor but he has surprised me with his goal tally and the occasional flash of skill.
I would hope the club are looking elsewhere for a couple of strikers as he won’t be good value with wages or fee.
Maybe Oteh will be given a run of games as he appears to score for our development team regularly ?
Bit shocked not to see Marco Ramkilde on the bench against Barnsley..

Perhaps he could play his part if he can get close to match fit.
