Good I think mate. Probably means some of the money the club owe to board members has been converted to shares (i.e. doesn't need paying back). Not quite the same as being written off, as creating more shares devalues existing shares. As such, whoever was owed this money now owns a bigger stake in the club to the detriment of the other shareholders.
Now is the time to be doing this type of thing though. Under normal conditions FFP would frown upon this.

Can see lots of owners pulling the rug on clubs soon. Find it incredible we have so many clubs anyway. Its madness.

Good but just means that they don’t expect to get their loans back anytime soon!

Done share conversions at least twice before under uncle, FFP previously set limits on the amount of equity conversion involved.
I think this latest conversion is a direct consequence of Covid losses, which is fair enough.
Still think the LC thing is the key to long term financial interests in the club (aka Holdings).

No idea of the accuracy of this thread, but it's interesting.

Looks like it's been copied straight off the profit and loss mate. Have our annual accounts been released then? I must have missed it if they have.
Wouldn't surprise me if it's accurate. Those losses would be about equal to what you expect in match day revenues. So it'd be about correct given the stands have been empty.
Plenty of clubs hemorrhaging way more.

But people still expect club to spend money they don’t have Yup. 😂 Those numbers don't concern me too much. Without fans all Championship sides will be loss making. The percentage comparison from previous years just looks bad because of the loss of the parachute payments. Wait til you see Derby and Forrest's accounts, they'll be far worse.

I think what you need to look at is the total loss against lost revenue because of Covid. Total losses for the year are about 17m. Just rough maths off the top of my head, I'd assume this is a similar number to what we've lost in match day revenues cos of Covid (within a couple of mil I'd have thought). In other words, had it not been for an unforeseen global pandemic, we'd be close to breakeven. '
Is that how you see it Westy?

Interesting that average wage is less then 10k You thought it was higher? Loan signings aside, nobody was on more than 13k a week last season.

Listen, everyone is in the same boat.
Bottom line is, if we want to get a proper slice of the action then we have to invest to some degree in order to get there.
It's really that simple. Otherwise the best we can hope for is mid table year on year. But that wont magically increase margins.

You would think that if QPR have another season as good or (🤞) even better, it’s going to add £ millions onto the value of players like Dieng, Dickie, Field, Willock, Chair, Dykes etc

£ millions onto the value of players like Dieng, Dickie, Field, Willock, Chair, Dykes etc You still reckon we can sell Dykes for 20-30 million in a year or two, rscot?

Not sure I went as high as £30 million, but if he keeps progressing I can see QPR selling him for a healthy profit. Especially if QPR get promotion and maybe even stay in the Premiership for more than 1 season. He has a good Euros, it wouldn’t surprise me if he’s up to £10 million in value.
