Surely everyone has had enough of this shit? Three conceded again. And to a lower league club.

I gotta agree 77. We can't have another season conceding the way we did last season. At least last season we had the players up front to score the goals, we just don't have that this time round. 1 unknown quanitity who may turn out to be very good (hopefully), and another striker who just isn't up to standard.

its going to be painful season.
having watched dykes last night, he is more of a hold up player than a striker that can bang in 15 plus per season.
last season, with wells, hugill and eze, we were able to out score most teams to win games.
this season, i cannot see where those goals are going to come from.
if he wont bring in a defensive coach, i really hope he can sign a couple of goal scorers.

what is the point of spunking 2mil on dickie if the manager does not give a fuck about defensive training.

Then he'll have to be out the door. Simple. If we'd been tighter at the back last season, even with the same players, we'd have been in the mix for the play offs. Who knows what might here happened.

We have needed a proper keeper since Smithies went and for me it is the most important position on the pitch. Get a keeper who can organise the shambles that is our back four. Cannot score 2 away and lose the game.

Looking at the training videos they´ve got Warbs, Eustace, Banfield, Gardiner and even Ramsey involved in the sessions. They should be able to sort out the defence between the 5 of them. Banfield and Gardiner were defenders when they played, so they are probably the ones we should look to replace if our defence continues like this.

I was going to say give Dieng a shot, but would he be thag influential in organising the defence as a young player?

Then he'll have to be out the door. Simple. IMO the bigger problem is his complete blind spot over persisting with Manning at LB and his inability (so far) to properly address the GK situation. Resolve these problems and the lack of a defence coach would be less of an issue, you'd hope.

Under this manager? No chance. Unfortunately this is probably right. As frustrating as it is, this manager's ethos is attacking as a team and scoring goals. It's like he's totally unconcerned about the defensive side of the game, and unprepared to sacrifice any of his attacking intent in favour of shoring things up at the back.

Do need a goalkeeper....and a physical presence in the midfield.....a striker.....just the 3 players then! I can’t even be bothered to talk about the full backs

It’s not just about style of play. Some of our defenders are just not very good defenders. They switch off far too much

anyone seen warburtons post match interview?
"Lumley did not have a save to make today, all he had to do was bend over and pick the ball up out of the net 3 times"

Same old same old. Identifies mistakes but does nothing about them. Thinks the problem is scoring goals (!) Two away from home ought do it, right? What does he want? Four? Lol.

yeah, same old bollocks in the after match interview. It's just bizarre isn't it? Concede 3 goals and the problem in Warburton's eyes is we didn't take our chances?

To have not improved our defending since he came and the same players making the same .istakes tells you a lot about him as a coach and us as a professional outfit.

Its bizarre though 73. He's a very intelligent guy, he's great in the transfer market and he's got us playing some of the best attacking football I've seen at QPR in a very long time. Yet, he seems completely oblivious to some of the very basics when it comes to the defensive side of the game. He also seems to see something very different to everyone else watching when it comes to individual errors etc. at the back.
I suppose we were warned. Glasgow Rangers fans were saying exactly the same about him when he was there. Forest fans too.

It’s not just about style of play. Some of our defenders are just not very good defenders. They switch off far too much took words out my mouth was going say is it lack of coaching or players simply not good enough No matter how hard you drill them whilst you have a LB who has zero desire to track back, zero interest in what’s going on around him and to do his first job which is stop the ball coming into box then we’re always going to be vulnerable. Serious question (I know it’s not sole answer) but if we had a LB who had a hunger to defend, who could smell a threat do you think our defensive record would improve overall??
