Solid team performance and shows to even people like Myself this squad can compete at this level this year!
Few tweaks here and there and 3/4 additions and we could surprise a few people!
Amos needs to be moved back from playing as AM, would like to see him next to Carroll as o do rate him. Would be great to see is go and buy a number 10, decent striker and winger to just add some More creative options.

Would be a good day to be in the Bush celebrating a win and being top of the table with a beer

dykes having a solid debut and growing more and more into the game as time goes on. Really impressed with him. Holds it up well. Old fashioned number 9. Is it too early to talk about playoffs? Never 😁 That’s put us top of the table 😂😂 It's a nice feeling being alphabetically ahead of the fakes 😃

Clean sheet. How long's it been since one of those? And no Manning. Any coincidence? Open your eyes Warburton. You dropped Manning today over an apparent "contractual dispute". I hope this wasn't the real reason and you have finally seen the light. And if you still haven't then don't tinker with a winning team anyway.

Hopefully by the end of the window we have a little more depth.

What was said officially about mannings absence? Contract dispute was what they called it on the match commentary mate.

So what does that mean he won’t commit or discuss it but BOS will??

Isn't Manning in the process of changing agent? I thought I read that somewhere.

Surely after today Warbs sees we're better without him. Sadly that has not been the case previously. Wallace and Niko have both had good games with clean sheets, only to be dropped and replaced by Manning. That's why I'm praying this alleged "contract dispute" is just a smoke screen.

I really wish someone could persuade BOS to stay. He was great when he got it going today.

Manning needed a break today was what Warburton explained post match on the offish. To my understanding he didn`t hint at any contractual dispute in that interview.

Christ, pleased to note that the glass half-empty’s on here are considerably outweighed by the glass half-full’s. 😂
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to watch the game yesterday, but was following it to a small degree whilst looking at this thread. The overriding impression I got was that in general we played well, played some nice stuff at times, showed commitment and defended well.
The only chance I had to see anything was watching the highlights clip on the Sky app and I have to say, one thing struck me as very interesting was the number of chances, good chances too, that Forest had. Certainly enough to win, even though we did score twice. And exactly the sort of goals that we were conceding last season. But so many on here said we defended well.
If I had just watched the clip without viewing the comments on here, I would have got the impression that nothing much had changed, we still allow the opposition to create too many chances and rode our luck. Clearly though, a highlights clip would only show the more interesting stuff and would therefore not show much of our good defending, which I had heard about. Just goes to prove how difficult it is to judge things without the full facts. Which brings me on to another point.
I have now read the full interview that Mark Warburton did with Clive and I have to say that the man makes so much sense. I’m certain I have been as guilty as anybody of moaning and whingeing about certain mistakes made by certain players, but it’s clearly obvious when you give it some thought, that the manager and players did well overall last season, bearing in mind the constraints on the budget. Also, assuming we can accept MW is telling the truth, it was hugely pleasing to hear how so many of the players are so determined and working so hard in order to ensure that we make progress and improve on last season. I think we need to recognise that we have a very good manager in Warburton. One for which we should be hugely grateful to have, knowing that he is such a decent, intelligent man into the bargain.
I understand that we are unable to get behind the boys and encourage them as much as we would like to, but bearing in mind the players clearly do read some of the stuff that is posted about them, it would be nice to think that the criticism of them on here is more of the constructive type, rather than just the gratuitous slagging off that some indulge in.

I would say Forest had one good chance 2nd half which Grabban missed a side from that they were half chances we defended well. We ourselves wasted two good opportunities so could have had more

Clean sheet and half of the spine of the team is in place in Dickie and Dykes. Sort the contract rebels out and recruit two or three shrewd signings and we will enjoy a half decent season.
