Imo he should go. He can't organise a defence and does seemingly very little to remedy it. Stubborn and cant see him changing. If you cant defend you may as well not bother. It's a fundamental part of the game and he has shown no sign of improvement in this area. Its like flogging a dead horse. I dont like changing managers but if you cant do the basics, you are on the back foot before you start the game. If all of the above is true, and I don't doubt it's not, is this not part of the DOF's remit to then step in and instruct a change in approach? Indeed the whole purpose of having a Director Of Football - there, the clue is in the job title! Otherwise why bother with having (and handsomely paying) one? By the DOF clearly NOT interceding that tells you that he is in accordance with the manager's approach to defending. By that reasoning you're calling the DOF's role into question just as much as the manager's. Of course the other main purpose in having a DOF is to avoid the need to keep changing the manager because a manager is initially recruited to manage to the particular playing style and philosophy of the club. Therefore this constant change of manager every season is indeed evidence that the DOF system is failing because why would you continually recruit managers who do not adhere to your system?

Please consider the person who does so will need to .... 1. Work on a shoestring budget promoting youth players 2. Be prepared to lose your best players most seasons to balance the books 3. Play a pleasing and entertaining style of football 4. Put up with regular online abuse from people with no football qualifications He’s got flaws for sure but I for one want some continuity at qpr. Look at the long term success for clubs that stick as opposed to those that twist. I promise you the ones with some stability will almost certainly fair better in the long run.

I see your point of view. I dont really consider it's my job to offer a good alternative. But consider this we keep letting goals in for fun but we dont have the firepower to outscore the opposition, where does that leave us. Up shit creek without a paddle. As I said if you cant implement basic defending you should not be a manager. Another thought have you thought he might just want another payout the same as Forest and Glasgow Rangers. Nice work if you can get it !!! Twice we nearly conceded from corners and third one bingo they scored, totally unprofessional and to put it bluntly abysmal. How long do you continue to flog a dead horse ?

How long do you continue to flog a dead horse ? I do share your concerns re the defending mate. Let’s hope dickie and barbet fell and we manage to sort the left back situation out. It would really help the defence if the like of Cameron and Amos stopped giving the ball away in dangerous areas too

The reason they the ball away is when the opposition press.
We do no have the calibre of player to play out from the back and as a result we invite pressure. At times against Coventry the ball was like a hot potatoes,I dont want it you have it and eventually it breaks down. Particularly noticeable 2nd half when they pressed. Lumley is sadly not up to the job and the rest of the back four seem all at sea with no cohesion or composure, the same could be said about the midfield so I think a change is a must unless MW is prepared to change and play to the strengths of the players we have. He has shown no sign of doing this and I'm not sure he is capable of doing this. Therefore sadly it's time have a change for a manager understands and can implement all factors of the game.

Imo, It would be a step forward if can we get a player like Ben Watson in and sure it would be a wise move of Warburton to let Ball and Amos play more regularly in front of the defence.

He may be a useless manager but he's our useless manager. (I don't think he's useless!)

I don't get all this Warburton out nonsense, what other manager out there would do better? Yes,our defensive play could be a lot better, but our attacking play has been the best I've seen us play in years. We are hardly an attractive proposition to a lot of managers,so should stick with Warburton.

Think it´s just Bill´s subtle way of building up a head of steam in time for the inevitable disappointment of Saturday afternoon.

Think it´s just Bill´s subtle way of building up a head of steam in time for the inevitable disappointment of Saturday afternoon. Nothing subtle about it,that performance against Cov an absoloute disgrace to the shirt and the club. If you are prepared to accept that fine but this club is better than that by a long way. Yes it probably will be another Saturday afternoon disappointment sadly
