I think there were more positives then negatives today.
Great to see players like Amos and Chair play in their correct positions. We looked more solid and fluid imo and were unlucky not to get a win but probably a draw was a fair result.
I’ve been saying all summer we need 5/6 players but on today’s result I think if we could bring in 3/4 we could be a very good team, especially if we keep BOS.
Striker, Adomah, CAM and LB and I fancy a top half finish.
I like Chair but we do need another option when he’s not firing on all cylinders!

Our big problem this year is going to be a lack of creativity and finding a way to get the best out of Dykes. If you play Chair out wide forget any crosses going in so maybe give Smyth a go out wide as he is much more direct. We need to find our best combination in the middle of the park as well as the free flowing football is just not there yet. Big job for MW as he needs to get the balance right to compliment the players.

The season has just started. And the transfer window is still open. And how many goals has Dykes scored from open play? In a new league, which is a step up from where he was, with a new bunch of teammates. I'd have thought he'd be given more than 3 games before moaning started. |

The manager needs to look at the best way for the team to function to get the best out of our number 9. I like Chair but he is no wide player and all this turning inside means that the big fellow is starved of decent service. We may well be better playing 3 at the back with Kakay and Wallace bombing forward and chucking in crosses with 2 holding midfielders in there to compensate and protect the 3 at the back. |
