For those who think (or thought) he doesn't care...

I’ve always thought his problem is a mental one, confidence in his own fitness. Perhaps he isn’t 100% any more? But would be just our luck to ship him out and someone sorts his head.

There is al lot of emotion coming out there.
Hopefully more he plays more he recovers. If there is just months left of him in shirt go out on a high keeping us up.

He took a knock last night, the sort of thing you see players run straight off, yet he took a few minutes to convince himself he was ok. It’s mental. Or certainly looks it from the stand.

I hope we can, surely new manager can say look what’s happened with me and you already trust me.
Hoos has said in Jan we need sell someone can imagine Chair only one of value currently so if he goes the need for firing Willock even more important.

Chair will be hard to sell if he goes to AFCON tho'. Luckily he hasn't been in Morocco's squad lately. Lets hope it stays that way, so either we have him in Jan or if necessary we sell him. Would have thought his performance last night on TV would not have gone un-noticed by some other clubs. His stats last night looked even better than Willock's.

Whether or not he likes Cifuentes, money talks and I’m pretty sure there are teams out there who will pay him shed loads more money than we can afford. And teams who are more likely to be pushing for prem football than us - a relegated Burnley as just one frinstance.

I think it all depends on how it's sold to him and how much he buys into what we're building with MC. It's also still early days in his comeback. And under Critchley and Ainsworth you could totally understand why he wouldn't want to extend his contract. Different situation now. You also have to ask why, all of a sudden, he's performing again under a good manager. And it's not JUST because his contract is running down, or because he was injured before. He wasn't injured, he just wasn't fit because he wasn't motivated to put the effort in under the last two managers. GA in particular, I suspect.

I still think his fitness is suspect. Would he pass a rigorous medical for a new club?

Did Hoos say this at the fans forum meeting West Acton? If he did say this it doesn’t make too much sense with changes to FFP regs being recently published. I posted up the same Sky article a couple of times regarding new changes to FFP regulations, one of those new changes being the football financial year now ends in December and re-sets in January.

The other problem is it's one step forward - two steps back by selling him as it's far from guaranteed that a replacement would be of the same quality let alone an improvement. Not to mention the disruption in continuity to settling in a new player. Hence why I return to the argument of doing all we can in persuading him to buy into the MC project. Suspect the club would be attempting to do this behind the scenes now. That's all of course unless any offer received would be too good to turn down.

But if we really believe in the Brentford model - rather than just paying lip service to it - we do need to sell our best players and use some of that to buy an up and coming replacement and the rest goes into the black hole of our finances. It used to be the QPR model too - if we had never sold Andy Sinton we would never have bought Trevor Sinclair. Clearly tho' the money has to be right.

Yes Stains, of course you can't just pay lip service to it, but the problem we have there is, where Brentford, Brighton etc have excelled in their recruitment, QPR have abjectly failed. The hope is we can now improve in that area under Marti. We certainly need to.

If we just say "we have failed in recruitment before so lets just cling on to any player we can because we will only ever find worse" we are destined to fail. Totally get your concern and it makes me nervous as hell. Just don't think we have a choice but to try. I would much prefer this was led by data science but failing that I have more faith in Marti to work with the recruitment team than Ainsworth who was clearly going for very short term fixes with the likes of Colback, Fox and Berkovic.

Absolutely. Whilst we guessed what he thought of Lemmy and his brand of football, it would be interesting to hear him say what he thought.

Finding his form. But do we need to ask questions of his attitude under Ainsworth or is it simply manager not giving him a chance

Finding his form. But do we need to ask questions of his attitude under Ainsworth or is it simply manager not giving him a chance it is a riddle wrapped in an enigma. We will probably never know. The important thing is he is firing again. If he carries on like this and we can hold onto him in Jan it’s like having a £5m new signing. Don’t want to dig out Ainsworth as he was a nice guy always out of his depth but would be fascinating to know what he thought he was doing and having seen how we can play under Marti whether he would do things differently - or if he only knows one way
