My MOTM today
Marti really has him firing again, so huge credit to him for that.

Thought colback was bloody class today but willock won us that game with assist and a goal.

Willock is by far our best shooter. Our best player overall, when on form, IMO.

Just a pity he didn't fit in Ainsworth's game plan.

Willock is by far our best shooter. Our best player overall, when on form, IMO. Put the graft in as well. To be honest thought Paal was the only player who I thought was way short of the level needed. JCS played well and have to say like him and Cook at the back.

It does look as though he’s decided Marti is worth playing for. I hope it’s that and not just playing for a decent move.

Don’t think he has much interest in the club and only player he seems to connect with is Chair.
It’s cynical but if he has finally woken up to the fact that if he wants a step up in club and wages he will have to look a hell of a lot better than he has this season then it might be what keeps us up.

I’m bound to be wrong but I’ve felt since the beginning of the season that he will eventually sign a new deal.

I think both parties will wait what league we will be playing next season.

Was brilliant yesterday, as he was at Bristol City. Fair play to him great to see him doing what we all know he can - lets hope he keeps it up.

Wouldn't rule out him signing a new contract if he buys into what Marti is building here. But that will much depend on the kind of offers he gets from other clubs this summer.

If they are happy with his long term fitness they should get in now and make him a decent offer. They must know the sort of contract that will be on offer elsewhere. If Chair is going down I’d say vital we keep him - and Andersen from what we’ve seen so far. Take the initiative for once ffs.

Could be ‘subject to’. Being pro-active has to be better than waiting for someone to nick him off us.

I genuinely think with Chris it’s mental issue about getting another hamstring injury which could be the end of his career. Hes 26. Got to give him some slack. Imagine being that age, pro footballer and not trusting your body and scared that you push too much and that could be it. For me, I have no doubt that he gives 100% for qpr.

James, if that's true, and I have no reason to doubt you, then why not sign a new deal? I’ve no idea whether it’s true. I’m just trying to put myself in head of a young lad where football is his whole life. And could be cut short. Have we offered him a new deal then? If we have then I imagine he gets guided by his advisors which I believe is his Dad? We can’t blame him, if he puts trust in his family regarding contracts and so on. We also don’t know details of any deal offered. We offered Austin a contract but we found it it was not really anything to consider.

A new deal must have been on the table for a long while now and it's just that he's been stalling on it. There's no way on Earth the club wouldn't have offered him something.

What we saw Saturday and even last week at Bristol is the Chris Willock we all knew we had.
His head had clearly gone under the last manager.
Marti has brought out the best in him again. Would love to sign a new deal.

Saw that his brother Joe scored for Newcastle on Saturday as well. Maybe that's the issue for Chris, sibling rivalry!

Ok but we don’t know what he’s been offered and I say again, he’s being advised whether to sign or not. And none of this impacts how he’s been performing. For me, he needs much more slack than he’s been given.
