I'm pretty through with Willock. He's better than Smyth for sure but a shadow of his former self. Went missing for long stretches when we really needed him. Not too fussed if he stays or goes. Feel pretty much the same, although I wonder if the rot set in when Ainsworth pretty mush sidelined him for months. Can't have had a major negative effect on how he felt about the club. I think Marti has shown him the 'love' and hopefully done enough to persuade him to stay. Guess we'll fid out on Monday, by when his contract will have expired.

If he travels to Spain then I think he is contracted. Can’t see that the insurance would allow it otherwise

I think Balogun went last season before heading off but I agree it looks a good sign he is staying.

If he’s staying and Donkey still has a stone in his hoof at the start of the season why not play him at 9? Won’t win anything in the air - so little change there - but he can hold the ball and he can score goals. Seriously, what’s to lose if we haven’t signed a striker? Could work well for club and player. I don’t mean false 9, just play as a striker.

We have clever people running the club now. I would be very surprised if they went into the season with the same weak striking options. I am expecting one striker, but probably a youngster with a lot to prove. If Armstrong has only signed a year's contract would hope someone buy him to free up funds. Sadly can't see anyone buying Lyndon now.

Not sure if he made the plane to Spain, but it is looking and sounding like he wants to stay at QPR, but with a release clause. I would think that with us being better run nowadays, the stumbling block is what that release is set at. For example, if we paid him a signing on fee, increased wages, or whatever sweetner, we do not want him to walk away before the end of August for a pittance. But, he has not really been linked with any other club showing real interest since January, when he turned down a transfer to Hull. My suspicion would be that Willock wants to remain at QPR for now, and his agent (dad) has been hawking him around other clubs, who quickly sussed out that they were being used to bargain up a new QPR contract. But perhaps we are standing firm - that is our new way. Look forward to the Nourry take on it when he is either confirmed as staying, or saying goodbye.

Finally a CEO/DOF that won't willingly get his pants pulled down.
Only 14 years too late, but better late than never lol!

Pick of him at training ground was him in own clothes so perhaps he was just clearing out his locker? ☹️

Whispers that he had a 2hr meeting with Marti today and has decided to sign a new deal. Take with a pinch of salt, but apparently it's from the same bloke that broke the Beale to Wolves news first at the time. Just passing on what I've been told.

Stand by for insincere announcement around middle of next week: "Everyone knows I love it here at QPR and always hoped to stay. I'm just delighted to have sorted out my future and can't wait till next season." Even though his dad's probably been hawking him round like a cheap tart on Blackpool pier.

As long as he stays I don’t give one. If we don’t sign a decent forward we need him and we need him focused - I trust Marti to do that. I’ve long since given up on morals, loyalty etc in the game, I just want a decent watch for my money.

Finally a CEO/DOF that won't willingly get his pants pulled down. Only 14 years too late, but better late than never lol! Finally, the whole club have moved up a level. Even the media department are putting out lots of quality videos, constantly push for season ticket purchases, even giving access to rangers clobber in the local John Lewis. The whole club is like a breath of fresh air. Thank fark bungle and chums, along with their circus are all gone.

With his previous injury record what we know is he needs a proper pre season. If he’s interested in staying perhaps a deadline to sign has to be put in place as what is he doing now. Training alone won’t have same intensity as being with squad. Sign by X date or good luck at your next club.
I absolutely want him to stay but also want player fit to play from game one not start of October.

Where are these players going to go otherwise? Hull? Willock didn't fancy it before and can't see anyone better coming in for him given his dismal season and injury concerns. If he thinks he can carry on all summer pissing about chasing munters I hope Noury and Marti have disabused him of that.

It was on ok-ish season that had its moments. Certainly wouldn't describe it as "dismal".

Would love him to stay.
Probably our best player a couple of seasons ago, but demoralised by Ainsworth, injured.
Marti can build him up, and hopefully he does well, and the team does well.
And if he still wants to move on, at least we get some recompense.

For me this would be wonderful news and also symbolic of players endorsing MC and the potential here now.
I actually thought he might be better than EZE at one point when he was in that golden phase but sadly that has not transpired yet.
We do know what he is capable of though so bring it on.

Maybe dismal a bit harsh - more in context of what we know he can do, or used to do. But I didn’t like how he pulled out of challenges and went missing in some games when we were fighting for survival. Obvs it’s only an impression but it just smacked to me of someone thinking “well if this club goes down I will just get another one.” Hope i’m completely wrong.
