Bit cryptic Shania. Did Warburton say he's been playing through injury? If so, why is picking him? He has struggled with injuries since he went away with Scotland, hasn`t he? . I thought that was common knowledge?

I'm not sure it was common knowledge. He had a long lay off in which he was supposed to have recovered. That was prior to his last Scotland call up.
But anyway even if it is true, it doesn't explain why MW is still picking him ahead of Gray.

Maybe I am a bit daft, but the suggestion that Dykes was played more and has been poor because he had an injury, makes no sense. All the more reason not to play him if he is in pain, I would assume.

Totally agree DK. Nothing at all I've seen to suggest he's been carrying an injury.
I think Johansen has been carrying an injury. I think Wallace's hamstrings are always 1 stretch away from injury. I think McCallum is carrying an injury. I think Charlie is either carrying an injury, or it's simply the fact he's carrying 2 stone that makes it look like that. But I don't think that Dykes is.

Dykes looks like he’s carrying a caravan the effort he puts in

I'm not sure if Dykes has played with injury recently, but he's been much worse after the injury which kept him out for 6 weeks.

I find it a bit strange that Dykes played so well when Austin first arrived. Surely this means that he performs (much) better with 2 up front?

I would say Johansen for whatever reason not performing at last seasons level has resulted in a lack of service to whoever is up front.

You need to play to a strikers strengths like that and i'm not sure our style suits him. He needs balls being fired into the box, better quality crossing and set-pieces being delivered with a better aim. Our slow set up play and building from the back is fine if you have strikers who have pace and can play on the shoulder of defenders or have a really good first touch to inter-link play....non of which he has.

Dykes in all likely will be here next season while mr little mix won’t be. Played these two loanees plenty with "our own" options available. Only the last few games Sanderson was our only option. So if that's the logic behind their decision to play Dykes, they're as inconsistent as a certain midget cunt ref, in my book.

The saddest thing about all this, is that less the footballer (LTF) was up there, international class, banging goals in for fun, played alongside the likes of ian wright, teddy sherringham, alss as n shearer, Andy Cole, Roy wegerle etc etc so knows what it takes and what it looks like to be a very good striker. Dof les on the other hand, has not got one fucking clue what makes a good striker. What planet is he living on to give an interview like that about that useless donkey. An absolute braindead dof les

What utter bollocks.
"When we sign a player, we always tell them our ambition as a club is to get back into the Premier League but some of you may get there before us."
One Ebs. Another, for seven or so games, Luke Freeman. Lol
Dykes isn't Isthmian League, let alone PL.

Well if the plan is to get rid of Johnny, he can't go out there and tell the press that the bloke's a donkey, can he?

But when that journalist writing about Jock footballers, calls him up and asks about our donkey, he can't possibly say: "No comments"

If Beale is such a great improver of players and motivator, I think we could see an improved Dykes next season.
...so, " You can have 'im for £20m in January!"
