I used to quite like Lyndon but 2nd half of season I just felt not only was he very poor but didn’t like fact he missed loads of games but then turned out for Scotland. Feels like we’re 2nd place.

It's make or break for Lyndon now in terms of his QPR career, and possibly his football career too.
He needs to hit the ground running in August and start scoring. Sometimes when a striker has a drought you can look at their wider play and mitigate their lack of goals with the chances they make for others. However Lyndon is beyond that now - he's the big striker and he needs to be banging the goals in.
I reckon he'll rise to the challenge and have a storming season for us.

Don't reckon he'll leave this window Gen. Too hard to pick up decent strikers. As things stand, we only have Dykes, Bonne and possibly Armstrong. Unless by some miracle we can bring 2 or 3 Championship standard strikers in, they won't want Dykes leaving. Even though his form has been shite.

In yesterdays game Shodipo was running in towards goal, Dykes was running to the right of him and instead of checking his run and turning inside into space he ran in a straight line alongside one of their defenders.
He gave Shodipo no option to pass to him yet was holding his hands up to say why not.

dykes is awful and just looks like he doesn't give a shit anymore. i wouldn't mind so much about his goalscoring record if he actually put effort in and had something to offer the team but its a sad state of affairs when the biggest quality dykes has is that he has some interesting hairstyles.

I watched a couple of Cameron Archer vids recently, he’s only 20 but looking at his the runs he makes to lose defenders is night and day compared to Dykes.

MB will quickly realise he got a first touch of an Elephant, lacks game intelligence, has no positional awareness and is often lazy.
He’s become my new most hated player since seeing Ron Abbott being played up front when we were desperate for a late goal.

I'm relaxed enough that MB will suss him out though and likely has already, so we can agree on that. It just remains to be seen whether he can improve him with better coaching. |
