Do Brighton fans consider Trossard a 'donkey'?
He's generally well liked and respected by fans and pundits.
But his stats are worse than Dykes...
GAMES Trosard 116 Dykes 102
GOALS Trossard 24 Dykes 26
APPROX GOALS PER GAME Trossard 1 goal per 5 games Dykes 1 goal per 4 games
(Trossard has a marginally better assist rate)
Yet Arsenal feel Trossard is worth £21m and (some) of us hurl dogs abuse at Dykes.

Difference is that Trossard would piss the Championship, and Lyndon in the Prem would piss his pants.

Not saying they're comparable, but Trossard is respected in the Prem (and being sold to the league leaders), yet Dykes (seemingly by QPR fans alone) reviled in the Championship, even though his Championship stats are better than Trossard's Prem stats.

Totally different player and contribution not even a comparison

plus trossard is a winger/number 10. he's not a striker at all and is very good at doing what he does.
if brighton weren't in such form with the likes of mitoma and march stepping up to fill the void then you could guarantee brighton fans would be kicking off.
put it this way, lets say dykes had the same record as trossard does this season and had thrown a hissyfit to leave the club right when we're on a good run of form and firmly in the playoffs. we drop him from the side but then armstrong steps seemlessly into the side and bonne (who stays) also bags a couple off the bench. we wouldn't give a crap about dykes leaving lol.

Unless we have a permanent striker walking through the door as he walks out we cant sell. Would leave us with only Armstrong and kelman whoare actually ours.

I make you all incorrect. Rejected Millwall's offer cos it's the first one we've received and we expect a number of better offers to come in. He'll go to the highest bidder before the deadline.

In our dreams.... Thing is you were right to point out that we don't know the t&c of the offer. But we really don't want to get complacent on this one. I honestly can't see them queuing up for him.

Stoke, Rangers and Millwall all sniffing around chaps.
We give the board so much grief for transfer dealings on here. In this instance, they are actually doing the right thing and ensuring we get the best deal possible. Yet people are having a melt down.
Couldn't write it.....once again!

If there is interest Tarbs then fair enough but what are other championship teams seeing which were not that makes him in demand. I’m not convinced.

I'm as surprised as you that Rangers and 2 Championship sides are interested, and we look likely to actually make a profit on the useless bastard Westy. That does however seem to be the case.

Couldn't write it.....once again! i'd eat rabbits hat if we get a better deal than the one offered. Grangers are broke stoke are fighting a relegation battle and wont spunk more than 3mil on a player millwall wont up their price. the next offer, if we get one will come in the summer and we will be offered less.

How do you know what was offered Hits?
My suspicion is it was deal paid over installments and dependant on performance that has been tabled and we are looking for a decent amount of money up front before agreeing to sell.
You have to remember that we have targets lined up and will need to certain amount in to acquire a suitable replacement.
If it was for example a £1.5m fee split in installments over the length of his contract with a similar amount paid upon an agreed number of appearances, goals, Scotland caps etc. perhaps it doesn't bring in enough to land the targets we are pursuing.
He'll go this window. We are posturing for the best deal.

Probably a case of others seeing a player they can turn into a real striker. I've seen enough of him to confidently say that will never ever happen. He just hasn't got that instinctive, quick thinking brain a striker needs to be successful.

Would love to negotiate to buy a house with some of our fans.
You low ball them and they accept the first offer even tho they have half a dozen viewings lined up. Amazing.

Amazing. problem is when the fucking house has no foundations.... It would be nice if we had half a dozen clamouring to take him off us but in my wildest dreams I can't imagine that.

From what I’ve read this so called 3m offer is full of amounts like if Millwall win promotion, think only thing it leaves out is some of the payment tied to him scoring the winning goal in the World Cup. We all know his frustrations but we also know only too well how hard finding strikers is. I could honestly see someone like Stoke coming in for him. We don’t know the ins and outs but think this is one of those cases where you have to trust the club to do the negotiating you can’t second guess from a message board
