Obvs I want as much money as we can get for him but do hope nobody who is saying "we couldn't possibly accept less than x" did not also vote him our worst ever player. I mean, some players we have had to pay fortunes just to go.....

If Gaz thinks he can get a tune out of Dykes in his 'direct' system, then I'd be happy enough to keep him.
If Gaz has someone else in mind, then just as happy to see Dykes go.
But if Dykes doesn't want to be here, then I think we should get rid, regardless.
If he'd consistently been at his best, then praps a higher fee might be warranted (for Scotland's top scorer) - but £2m sounds about right for where he is now.

Dykes is only worth what another club is prepared to pay for him. It wouldn't surprise me if £2m is about the extent of that in the current climate.
He's only got a year left on his deal hasn't he? In which case, there really isn't a decision to make. Same as Willock and probably Dieng (who I think has only a year left), as well as Dickie who's already gone.
We have to take what's on the table for players who aren't tied down and we can't extend.

They won’t be as patient as our crowd that’s for sure.

If we are not prepared to pay that then we've probably instructed his agent to find him a new club. Maybe Millwall are the only ones interested at the moment.

No Dykes to Millwall - they’ve just signed Nisbet from Hibs…

£2m? People are forgetting already. He's poor. And we never get back what we laid out because we always over value on purchase.
I could see someone being idiotic enough to lay out maybe 750k. But he's just not very good. Decent throw in on the boy. And thats about it.
I don't hate him. I hate the idiots who paid decent money for him.

Scotland qualifiers - Kenny Miller rates our Lyndon...
Can't believe Dykes has had 3 seasons with us.
Bit of a downward trend on the goals front... Year one - 12; Year two - 10; Year three - 8
Wonder what the Jocks are doing to get a better return out of him?

Assist for the winner too. Hopefully his stock is rising in this upcoming summer transfer market, and we get our 40 million or whatever rscot predicted.

Clarke gets the best out of him. Unfortunately our shit managers and co-players doesn't know how to use him.

Norway made his job easy for him last night, but we should be careful what we wish for. He worked well in tandem with Charlie Austin when the latter one was fit.

Well taken goal and brilliant lay off for the winner. Well done to him and raises his stock for us.
Does very well for Scotland but just way too inconsistent for us. But baffling really.

dykes is a superior player to haaland confirmed. he's scored more goals in the championship, SPL, australia and for scotland than haaland ever has.

From BBC:
"The only giant left on the field was the Tattooed Tank rather than the Norse God. It was Dykes' subtle lay-off to McLean for that gobsmacking winner.
When these games are over, give Dykes a large Cohiba. Damn it, give him a box of El Gigantes. The proper stuff. Put him on a private jet to Ibiza.
Stick him behind the decks and let him party like he's Haaland. In a handful of minutes, with his goal and his assist, he stole Haaland's thunder in his own backyard."
