The fact that you even use the word 'convert' shows that you see supporting a football team as some kind of religious act, with a set of laws that must be adhered to. But all that is in your head. I didn't 'convert', I just decided to follow my local team. It also shows that you see yourself as some kind of 'purist' because you have only ever been a supporter of QPR - allegedly - and that I am therefore somehow lesser than you in this religious hierarchy. But in fact, that's all a load of bollocks. I just started supporting my local team, from the borough in which I was born and spent much of my youth in. And that was over 30 years ago. I'm just as entitled to an opinion about Rangers as you are, but I have never, ever been either a 'purist' or someone who 'tries to fit in'. I simply don't need to. I first saw Rangers play in the late 60s, and also in the 70s. I've always had mates who supported Rangers. I'm just a bloke following a football team who likes to talk about it. I certainly don't need some kind of self-appointed zealot to tell me how to think!
