Several football websites say he’s on about £20k a week with 3 years to go. Presumably that’s to boost his value. If so, how ill judged is that decision? Nearly another £3m to waste yet. Blimey didn’t realise that. Irrespective of his performances recently, we need to sell him to get that wage off our books. Might explain why it’s difficult to shift him…. |

Sure, but there were people giving Ainsworth a round of applause pretty much up to the end of his tenure. Never made him a decent manager. You'll always get your brainless happy clappers. More to the point, I think we have to revert to the system Beale used when he dropped Dykes and switched to an interchangeable front 3, ie no recognised striker. Its ridiculous to blame Dykes for everything, but the fact is when Beale had to recall him due to the spiralling injury list, he had to ditch the whole system. And we started slipping back down the table. It's imperative that we experiment with a formation with no forwards sooner rather than later. However, that will require our attacking midfielders to step up and that worries me. We been doing that for ages. |

Unpopular call but I’d take him out of the squad completely. Like out out.
I would make it clear I’m going with Kelman, muscles and Kolli until January.
Having him not only offers us fuck all but it must demoralise the other forwards as they can see he’s fucking atrocious.
I’d say Lyndon you’re just not my cup of tea and I’m going to concentrate on using the 3 lads up front and if I fuck up I’ll fall on my own sword.

And that's partly the issue: he's always been shite, except for when Charlie was feeding him the odd goal, and apart from those very rare moments when he actually scores.... But that's the point, he's been shite HERE, with us, for over three fucking years.... so the shiteness has accumulated to the point where I think most people are sick of the sight of him. I reckon if he just stood still somewhere outside the penalty box for the entire match, the odd ricochet off him might actually be more effective than his unbelievable ability to be in the wrong place and the right time.

Dykes is absolutely terrible. We’ve had some absolutely disgraceful strikers over the years but he’s right up there. He’s the most frustrating I’ve seen because he CAN bully defenders and work a hard and have a really good game. He just doesn’t do it anywhere near a level of consistency that’s acceptable. Gets a really easy ride off of our support but multiple sources are now starting to see what we’ve been saying for 3 years. Expect us to bring in someone in January and suspect he’s in the last chance saloon. What will really piss me off is if he suddenly turns a corner as then we are in the realm of effort and application, I’ve personally never thought he doesn’t try and that he’s just really shit. Gets himself up for Scotland normally though so the question needs asking.
