Different players react to different managers. Maybe Marti will somehow manage to get a higher goal ratio from him? Big ask, granted! Let’s see. I’m not convinced and that’s due to the fact I don’t think he has a footballers brain or instinct. Some things can of course be trained but he hasn’t got the natural ability to be a good striker in my opinion. Yep and sadly that opinion probably stretches across all our current options. @sparky whats the food chain looking like below first team for strikers any there who look exciting and jump out or where the back of the net is? |

Dykes has probably cemented his place again with those 2 goals and, much as I hate to admit it, that's hard to argue against. Again, credit where it's due, A LOT of pressure on him for that penalty. |

In defensive position for their equaliser by the time he reacts the ball is virtually in the net. Through 1 on 1 doesnt chip doesnt try to put the keeper on his arse doesnt try to go round the keeper,just hit and hope. Striker your having a laugh,how many games he played? |

Had two chances first half he didn't get near. And, had he crossed from that break, he'd have had an assist. Second half Cannon put it on his head at the back post and he tried to chest it down, or something. Dreadful.

Didn’t do great yesterday but also not his worst performance.
Highlights for me was chasing down and winning the ball back on a few occasions. Would like to see him press goalkeepers more to try and get a mistake out of them exactly what Armstrong done.
Just isn’t the answer up front for us and needs to be relegated to the bench in January if / when we get a striker from somewhere.
I wonder if Marti has someone in mind from the league he’s just left.

He’s poor but I think his level of performance has been more consistent under Marti and marginally better.
The performances are still borderline shit but instead of runny poo they are a more consistent and solid context, that’s best way I can think of describing.

As usual yesterday he was on his heels when crosses came in, his anticipation is terrible. But he is marginally better under Marti, and of course we can't deny his two goals v Stoke. But if he scores a brace against PLIEmouth (as Marti calls them), I'll forgive him all his past misdemeanours!

However the norm is he chases then stops when he gets near the opposing player with the ball.

Sometimes I'm looking on whilst a defender or GK is put under zero pressure from him and just can't get my head around it. That GK's distribution on Saturday was sketchy from the first back pass he received yet Dykes gave him no trouble at all. Armstrong for his faults has got a bit of bite in him and some nous. As usual, Dykes just doesn't use that brain of his. |

In Saturday, early into the 2nd half, cannon put in a beautiful cross. Donkey, standing on the 6 yard box line, did not even need to jump to head it into the net, but the brain dead idiot decided to jump and try and bring the thing down ( in the 6 yard box) and fucked that up.
