It's a known fact that if you keep dismantling something it will collapse
How can we ever build anything if it dismantled every time we build it
It's impossible to go forward in any business in that manner
I understand the situation fully but do not know how we can go forward as a club in this manner

I understand that no club should spend more than they earn
I guess it's about what standard of club that your happy with and ambition levels are different for everyone
Obviously most on here are happy with mid table to lower championship football I'm not knocking that I just find it hard still that we are where we are
It pisses me right off that we are a lower championship club owned by billionaires I suppose

If Fernandes had been a bit (lot) more savvy and less naive we might not be in this mess. But it's where we are and it's something, whether we like it or not, we have to live with. It sucks. But staying within the FFP rules long term will benefit us.

How can we ever go forward Ginge with FFP in place I don't see how we can grow as a club
Will we always have this situation until we build a bigger ground which is at least 5 yrs away or does it get better when we have paid off the 21 million
Sorry mate really like Nacki wells and we are going to struggle badly without his goals that why I'm fed up tonight

I do agree that the way we were behaving in the premier league was a disgrace financially for a small club like ourselves
I think we are doing things correctly now foe a business but letting all our best players go is a road to disaster in the long term

We have been well and truly shafted with this ffp nonsense. I bet if it were another club like West Ham fuck all would happen.. Change the rules while dishing the dirt on us and then points deduction for later offenders it stinks

It pisses me right off that we are a lower championship club owned by billionaires I suppose Gen, it wouldn't matter if we were owned by ten trillionaires - FFP rules still apply i.e. clubs can now only spend within what they're able to generate as a viable business. I totally get the frustration with it all though. At least we have a long-term plan in place with a new stadium and Warren Farm, both of which should ultimately and hopefully allow the club to compete more on a fiscal and sustainable even footing, with the increased revenue that both ventures should eventually generate. I guess we just need to see the bigger picture, however difficult that is in this age of instant gratification.

So I’d say we spent quite a lot and far more than we made.

We will have a mediocre 2nd half the season, finish at the lower end of mid-table, we'll bring in 5 or 6 new players in the summer and we'll go again next year!

Washington was about the last player we spent good money on and that was less than we got for Charlie

Washington was about the last player we spent good money on and that was less than we got for Charlie I don’t get what your point is. FFP is based on profit loss and turnover so that includes wages. In years gone by our wage bill was nearly a third more than the entire turnover of the club. The third highest in the premier league and more than a team that made the champions league final. That’s just as, if not more damaging than paying high transfer fees for player.

My point is the idiots running the club gave out contracts which has crippled us for the mid to long term future. Not tranfers fees and I get the P&L side of things.

Not gonna lie. This one hurts.
A proven quality honest striker who loves the club and WANTED to be here.
The amount of money we’ve wasted on absolute wankers and we couldn’t find the funds to make this happen for a 29 year old in electric form really irks me.
We’ve got rid of the wages of Scowen, BFG, Mlakar, Smith (by all accounts) yet couldn’t work out a deal to compete with Bristol fucking City?
We were gonna spend a few million on a Scottish defender were we not? So the funds are there.
Fucking gutted.

If we are unloading players due to FFP then clearly we would not have had the money to buy McKenna.

Perhaps his wages was the sticking point Jimmy...no doubt a lot higher than McKenna's...Totally share your frustration mate.
