I think club are thinking at his age there no value sell on. And buy young cheap with view to making a profit. who benefits from the profit though? 10mil was raised in the summer on players sales, where is it? the owners will have you believe its the big bad ffp. its a great excuse to hide behind in order not to spend on half decent players. they even want the land to build a stadium for free and have local athority pay to have it built. these charlatans are finished investing in the club. now they only intend to claw back their losses from the inept mismanagent by themselves from previous years. That 10m will likely be going towards making sure we don't go over the allowed 39m loss over three seasons. I have no idea how much the club is spending on wages, but I bet our expenditure still outweighs our yearly income by quite a distance.

Don't agree with you here Hits. Firstly, we didn't make £10m, more like £6m and that's with add ons. Secondly, very few clubs reinvest 100% of their sales. Especially when we do not pull a profit without them. You are saying that it is a smoke screen, but if we are losing money every year then who is paying for it? The owners are. We can lose £13m a year (averaged) but what owner would be happy to lose that every year?

We could have got £1m for naming the stadium. But no.

We could have got £1m for naming the stadium. But no. Says a lot for the owners that they will have weighed up the pros and cons for that and decided to go with a more worthwhile cause.

Not just them - reaffirms the image of being a community club and also the boy was one of our own. Think quite a few of you forget/ignore that. His dad/the charity puts in plenty of work and more than deserves what the club has done this season.

Cant win really, moan we not helping mugs who spunk cash on how quick snails go to horses,by taking betting sponsor. But give publicity to charity trying to stop kids putting holes in each other and it still wrong.

Thats the way i see it also,im aware of ffp but the club are gambling that we will stay up. We do have a limited squad but we will possibly only have Hugill up top for rest of season, that concerns me. Surely we can get a loan in the striker position, otherwise might have to play Bos Through the middle?

'Clawing back the losses' just shows how little you understand about it unfortunately. Trying to reduce the current losses would be more accurate. Totally agree they got us in this mess but this will take a good few seasons to sort out and we are making a decent fist of it at the moment imo.

Sickener. Bigger than us. Things like this really bring it home how badly we fucked up in recent years. My point wasn't about Wells'valuation, it was about having spent three seasons in the promised land of the Prem we now cannot compete with Bristol City.

We fucked up it’s the past Bristol have sold three players in last two seasons for big money that’s why they have little bit play with.

He seems to hold the owners in high regard, given his tweet. Maybe it’s a fake account set up by Evil Les.

Tbf I share Hits frustration it is a really sorry state of affairs that we have to rely on loan players and free transfers every year to stay up
Our club is the fuck up of the century total embarrassment the owners are to have got us in this state of affairs
Sorry but it's fucking true they have fucked up the whole club

Comfortably mid table and I'd bet my last quid we will be for the rest of the season.

People make out that we've been in a relegation scrap for 3 or 4 seasons now. Ain't true though is it? We've had a few moments under Ollie and Maclaren where we've looked like we might get dragged into the shit, but on the whole we've been well clear of trouble. Not sure what people expect. We are operating on the 4th or 5th lowest budget in the division. Until this FFP stuff blows over we have to be realistic. Mid table is a good return, all things considered!

I for one am not suprised by how we are being run as we literally have gone from boom to bust. I get ffp but do not get why we are letting leistner go with a day to go of the window? Also why are we not able to actually compete in the market for any player on the market at low or medium price.

Mate, pure and simple, some have been proper spoilt by our prem run. The way we're operating now isn't anything new, and yeah sure, I can see why people say we've gone backwards. But the if alternative is continuing to blow money we don't have and end up like Bolton, then I'm happy for us to continue this way. There's a clear plan to sort out our finances and get into FFP's good books and stay there, and that's not a 2-3 season fix. Patience is required, something that the majority of our fans just don't have. Gutted to be losing Nakhi, but if spending the money to bring him back permanently worsens our financial situation, then I'm glad we've steered clear.
