Sickener. Bigger than us. Things like this really bring it home how badly we fucked up in recent years.

Not really sure how we have fucked up here. Are we meant to just pay £5m and pay wages that are not in our current structure then? I get how you can point to history and what got us to this position but given where we are, the only crime we have created is enabling him to score a load of goals and enhance his value.

I think club are thinking at his age there no value sell on. And buy young cheap with view to making a profit.

We don’t have the money to compete, end of, we just have to suck it up for now. Other clubs are at the beginning of the process we’re going through, and will be up to their necks in it when we’re out of it, that’s the way it will proceed. It will get better, but will take time unfortunately.

Well don Rangers for resisting as he’s not worth more then 2mil. He’s out of contract In Months why would we pay 4mil for something which is free in months?? Good luck Bristol as we have seen he can blow hot and cold
Do I want him, Yes, would I pay £4mil no chance

£4m for a proven Championship goal scorer, integrated with the team, popular with the long suffering crowd (who else's name is sung?), who has three plus good years in him? And he's settled in London? It's a no brainer. Fucking amateur hour as usual. We ought stick to the comms and PR shit and give up on the football. Debt free premiership club before that clown Fernandes turfed up. A billion pounds pissed up against a wall in nine years, and a measly £4m for a crowd pleasing player isn't possible? Give me a facking break. I hope Wells scores a hat trick Saturday. It's what we deserve.

Just under £4m? Jesus, if we can't afford that, Fernandes really has fucked this club up good and proper.

I don't think the £4m was necessarily the problem mate, probably the wages. i don't see how we, the supporters deserve him to score a hat trick against us either. It is hardly our fault we are in the situation we are in.

Just under £4m for a Championship striker who has already bagged us 14 goals this season (including cup)? That's a bargain in this day and age.

Our transfer budget as a whole probably isn't much above that.
And it is a bargain, City have done well. If you're doing up a house you don't blow your budget on just a tv. Similar thing here as well (best analogy I could think of!)

Player wasn’t worth two bob before moving to us. His success with us raised him to a point that we could no longer (nor should we) afford him at £4 mil.
Would I sign him for that? Not a chance as last season he wasn’t on fire and currently most decent strikers can score for fun in this team (Hugill)
Shankland for £3 would have been money much better spent.

Agreed about this Shankland bloke. I don't know much about him but if he is young then he fits our mould better as he will (potentially) have a geater re sell value.

last season after Birmingham pen miss and he fell off a cliff he was public enemy number one and told he was shit and to fuck off. I think that's an exaggeration Wests. Yes he had a drop in form, yes the fans noticed, yes Nahki acknowledged it too, yes a section were quite vocal in their criticism, as per usual. However it was not as bad as you're now suggesting.

I think club are thinking at his age there no value sell on. And buy young cheap with view to making a profit. who benefits from the profit though? 10mil was raised in the summer on players sales, where is it? the owners will have you believe its the big bad ffp. its a great excuse to hide behind in order not to spend on half decent players. they even want the land to build a stadium for free and have local athority pay to have it built. these charlatans are finished investing in the club. now they only intend to claw back their losses from the inept mismanagent by themselves from previous years.
