didn't Hugill have a decent game Saturday? Wells a bit lightweight up front on his own. Those cider drinkers will be up for it Saturday, need some old heads in the team. Come on urrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr's Hugill worked hard on Saturday mate. Hard to really judge his performance though as he got next to no service for the first 50 or 60 mins of the game. Away from home on Saturday I'd favour the pace of Nakhi Wells on the break, with perhaps Hugill to come on in the 2nd half.

First XI hasn't lost a game yet. I'd keep as it is. Scowen needs dropping mate. Also worth bearing in mind that we had 5 or 6 players including Kane, Pugh, Wells & Smith that were a few weeks behind the rest in terms of fitness. These players are now in contention for a starting spot. Pugh and Wells in particular looked very tidy last night. In a situation like this, I don't buy the "don't change a winning team" argument. Scowen was the weak link last weekend. Had either Pugh or Chair started instead of him we'd have beat Huddersfield!

Chair for Scowen and Kane for Rangel would be my guess

Quick feet against Bristol C is a must, they have problems in defence according to posts on their messageboard, although their CB Kalas is top class, they say. Iow, Wells should start IMO.

Poor old Josh.
Looks like it’s definitely going to be him this season. 😂
The thing is though, I don’t think there’s much wrong that a simple case of better concentration couldn’t sort out. But we simply can’t afford those sort of lapses.

He had a great game last night mate. One of his best in a QPR shirt for me. I'd give him the nod over Hugill away at Bristol personally! [br Movement and pace gives him the nod for me. In saying the big fella had a go the other day and worked hard for the team. spot on mate. he was all over the front line last night. playing off the shoulder of the defenders, running the channels, getting headers and shots off. he was an absolute joy to watch.

Chair for Scowen and Kane for Rangel would be my guess That's what I'd like to see, but I have a feeling Warbs will stick with Rangel, valuing experience over talent in this difficult fixture. He may also feel he needs to stick with Scowen for the same reason. I imagine defence will be foremost in his mind, as City are a strong attacking team.

Maybe less so last night, there were a few out there last night that gave it away cheaply. But on Saturday Scowen was so very obviously the weak link. And this ain't a whinge either. It's great that we've raised the bar and players we used to think were good now look like they ain't up to the job!

Wouldn’t dream of stating otherwise. Just think that with more focus and better concentration, he could play his part too. It’s all up to him now though. He couldn’t really complain if he was dropped at this moment, as we have plenty of options now to replace those not doing it. Let’s hope he responds well if it happens.

Clearly struggling in role so result aside why would we not strengthen ourselves as we clearly can this. i get why he is playing there as he did well there last season and he works hard but it looks like every player is working extra hard on the pitch and have embraced warbs philosophy. after tuesday i don't see how you could drop chair

Wells, Chair, Pugh, Hall and Kane will play tomorrow I feel. BOS will be rested I think. I`m not saying he should, but Pugh needs a match now..

Wouldn't be surprised to see Chair in for Amos with Scowen playing alongside Cameron in the middle to have experience in the middle while allowing Eze and Chair freedom to attack.
Have to agree that Chair's time has come and is surely a starter.

Doubt we'll make sweeping changes from the last league game Shania. Chair has to start for me. I think Wells for Hugill is likely too. Kane is definitely knocking on the door but I think Rangel will probably retain his place in the starting 11.

If Scowen plays then it sends out a bad message to the team. Being that no matter how well you play when the chance presents itself you are still going to struggle to get into the team over a poorly performing player. Although I normally agree with Tarbie I think Hugill's hold up play to start and Well's pace against a tiring defence.

Nahki Wells says he “wouldn’t hesitate” if given the chance to join QPR on a permanent basis.
Wells has scored seven goals since returning to Rangers on another season-long from Burnley, where his contract expires next summer.
And he says he would be open to a move if the two clubs could come to an agreement during the January transfer window.
Wells was talking to West London Sport's Julian Taylor after Rangers' 4-2 win against Blackburn.

Makes perfect sense to me to sign Nakhi when his contract expires. He's still young enough, and worthy of a 2 year deal. Only issue is money. I'm sure he'd need to come down a fair bit from his current contract with Burnley. Esox will know better than me, but from what I've heard we're most likely only contributing around 50% of what he earns.

Most likely if we get promoted or decide we have enough in the budget to cover his wages given that FFP eases a bit nest season.

Like Tarbie, I would sign him when his contract runs out. I read elsewhere that he said he took a pay cut to join us despite the strong rumour that we are only paying 40% of his wages. I was told that one of our star youngsters signed a new contract which upped his wages to a shade under £4k a week; admittedly a large sum for a young kid but evidence that the club is not pushing the boat out any more no matter what. I wrote on a messageboard elsewhere that if Nahki is feeling the love being sent his way, feels that he has a chance of reaching the EPL with QPR, feels that the chance to play regularly is more important than sitting on his arse pocketing the money and importantly feels that this is the only club that suits him at the moment then we may be able to convince him that staying at QPR for a salary within our means would be a great way to enter the twilight years of his football career. He has been quoted in an interview as saying he would sign tomorrow for QPR but I would strongly suspect that he won't be so keen if it is for less than £10k a week; he IS better than that. When you factor in that the average wage of our current first team squad is very much below what the wages of our 2010-11 squad was then it beggars belief that we are doing so well and attract ting the quality of players we have. I was also told after a game that our academy work is the envy of a large number of other clubs. These really are halcyon days at the moment.

would love him here on a perm and i think he'd take a paycut to stay here as well especially as he's now 29 so is starting to get into the twilight of his career.

Probably need to get promoted to afford him and Hugill. Hugill is on sillly money at West Ham from what I've heard. Very strange bit of business from them. Even their fans are confused by it! Don't get me wrong, I like Hugill. He's honest as the day is long and he's a real handful. Old fashioned, physical number 9. But he's not Prem standard from what I've seen.
