Try and get Scott Hogan out of Stoke. If we’re going spend money on striker he would be investment and villa need the dough

Assuming we will now be due some money back from Burnley if we paid season long loan upfront. Or is this wishful thinking

Well, this is all a tad irritating.
When I scrolled through my twitter feed about 6am this morning, this sort of put me in a good mood for the day :
Just noticed it was dated Saturday, but surely we would have checked first before publishing it.

In all these things, you have to look at how a player gets their goals; are they a fox in the box time? are they sitting on the shoulders of the last man looking for balls through the channels? all the variants thereof? Wells was bought from Bradford with a goal every other game and his style of goal scoring wide player suited Huddersfield as well and he returned a goal every three"ish" games with them. Burnley took him and he obviously didn't suit their style of play with a total return on their investment of no goals in nine games. On the face of it, he is not suited to how Burnley play and very suited to how QPR play; hence the goal return. In replacing him we can't just go out and get all the names mentioned above purely on their past record. Even Hugill doesn't suit the style of play that favoured Nahki so much, he is more of an old fashioned up and at 'em striker and lacks a lot of the guile that Wells has.
Paul Smyth is the same sort of wide player with an eye for a goal and may well be an answer but I can almost hear the crowd now baying about fucking around with the ball because we won't have that bullish centre forward so beloved of old. Hopefully between now and the end of the season, Hugill and possibly Mlakar can find the net enough times to not make it a twitchy end to the season and the annual demanding a new manager because this one is fucking shit and has lost the plot etc. I don't think Charley Kendall is going to be ready anytime soon and next season may well see another loan if Wells does permanently disappear from our hooped lives.

I have some faith in Amit
I may be wrong but I have a feeling he does not like losing things he really likes and he really likes Nacki
A bit like myself in a way
Basically fuck off hes coming to QPR you tossers
That's what I would say knowing myself as I do think he's a similar guy if the money adds up

Not a chance we're signing someone just on the basis someone high up likes the player.

Keep the faith and we will see

Disagree he is the farking chairman mate You don't overspend on a player just because he's well liked by the chairman. That's a perfect example of what got us in this mess in the first place

No not really Tony fucked the whole club up
Amit is a different animal
Anyway we will see what happens and agree to disagree
People need to show a bit more faith in the people now running the club
If Amit can do this he will do it believe me

Total insult to Amit and if a deal can be done and the numbers make sense then who knows.

Just over 1 week ago, beat Leeds and all is good. I was even thinking....maybe just maybe playoffs. Now out of cup after treating the game with contempt and now Wells gone. Fuck.....just fuck off football sometimes.

Why are we raving about a guy who can't get in Stoke's revival team?

Dunno about raving about him Alan, but Hogan is a player that Warburton brought through at Brentford. He had 18 months there (albeit the latter part after Warburton had moved on) where he was banging in goals right left and centre. His career has taken a bit of a nosedive since leaving Brentford, but if he could recreate his form of 2015-2017 he would be a force at this level!
