Looking at Dieng performances in 20 games he’s played you would have to say he’s been excellent and I believe some clubs are sniffing around.
Of the goals he’s conceded I can only remember Wycombes goal where it could be said he should have done better.
At the beginning of this season there were rumours of Birmingham being interested..so also impressed last season at Donnie
Reminds me of some of the best keepers making some saves look easy.
Commands his area by being brave in regularly coming for crosses and that’s a real plus nowadays.
Must be worth £5m as will only get better.

i can see dieng being sold tbh. lumley has been decent on loan and we're apparently back in twlks with him. kelly is going back out on loan and barnes has been recalled, odds are to be our backup keeper

The main problem with us selling anyone at any point is the assumption that the dosh will be sensibly re-invested.
We don't do sensible, and they way were being run right now is not compatible with sustainability.
There's nothing sustainable in flirting with the bottom three.

Typical aint it. Get a decent keeper and suddenly he's fodder for the bench at a PL club.
I hope if he goes we absolutely rinse whoever he goes to.

If we’re honest and assuming he went say an arsenal he prob third choice so if you do sell you try put clause in that you get immediate loan back for the season

Looking back at the players that have been sold under LF it’s clear that no long term strategy has been employed with an eye on like for like replacements on transfers out of the club.
We sold Smithies ,Furlong,Luongo,Sowen,Freeman and Eze..I probably missed others but fail to see like for like replacements that have been brought in as replacements when they left.
I can only think this season that Dickie replaced both Hall and BFG.
Don’t think Dykes and Bonne could be seriously considered as like for like with Wells and Hugill exp wise.

Why not hang on to Dieng, sell BOS, get some loans in and go to work on setting up a side that can actually compete.

If Dieng goes, we really have to strenghten the rest of the team. The fullbacks included.

"So much for Financial Fucking UnFair Play Is all I can say..."
Someone else can write the next line and we can take it in turns, for a bit of lockdown fun...
If it takes off it can have its own thread...

Dillon Barnes recalled from loan at Hibs. Could add fuel to the rumours about Dieng I don't believe that. Barnes only played 8 games and 4 of those were in their cup games so they must have thought whats the point in him being there. Hibs Manager was quoted saying pretty much the same. He's been recalled due to a "desire to play first team football". In other words, we are going to loan him somewhere where he is going to be 1st choice, not on the bench. And let's face it, if he isn't good enough to start for Hibs then he should be a long way from the match day squad for us! www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/sport/football/hibs/hibs-face-goalkeeping-dilemma-loan-dillon-barnes-recalled-qpr-immediate-effect-3084297

So are we recalling Lumley or placing our trust in Barnes as a back-up?

So are we recalling Lumley or placing our trust in Barnes as a back-up? lumley's loan with doncaster ended yesterday/today and he's since returned to the club. apparently we're in talks with lumley over a new deal so i guess barnes will be staying at the club, although there's also been talk that barnes will be loaned out elsewhere to get game time. lumley and barnes coming back concerns me a bit though as does that mean dieng is off? this time last week we were in talks with doncaster over lumley joining them on a perm deal. with lumley back in talks for a new contract with us it has me worried that dieng going off to arsenal or some other bench might have legs in it and the club see's lumley as our long term number 1 once again

Been watching a few episodes of Salford documentaries featuring Gary Neville and other ex Man U players involved in running their club.
Was an eye opener to see what sort of money changes hand on loans and transfers for players at a much lower league level.(Bruno Andre ex QPR ) being a recent addition from Lincoln.
Would be nice to think that players going out on loan from us would involve either a loan fee or players wages covered in part.
I can’t see us dragging D Barnes back from loan where wages are being paid in full or part because he’s not getting regular game time.

Another loan from a club where MW previous assistant manager is currently employed.
Only Played 5 times for Watford according to wiki...so knowing MW expect cameos of 30 mins for the rest of the season.
Good lone striker in his day though..as Alan said recently would be good for Dykes and Bonne to Learn from.

We really are shopping at Poundland again, aren't we?
Jordan Rhodes or Glenn Murray? Both players combined are still in single figures for goals scored in the last 18 months!
